If you love curry then now’s your chance to win a year’s supply of the good stuff.
That’s right, you can bag yourself a free curry every week for a year, courtesy of the good people at Zouk.
If you’ve not been down before, Zouk serve up authentic Indian and Pakistani dishes in their relaxed, modern restaurant – and the curries are spot on.
And that’s not the only prize up for grabs, as you can also get your hands on a year’s supply of Didsbury Gin, as well as a year of free Sunday roasts from The Refuge.
But how, I hear you ask?
Well, to bag these incredible prizes and more, you’ll have to head out and about and find one of many red envelopes, hidden on doors around Manchester city centre with prizes inside.
Manchester’s Finest ran the ’12 Doors of Christmas’ competition last year, and it was so popular it’s back again with loads of great prizes up for grabs.
To see a full list of the prizes on offer, and to sign up and get notified when the first door goes live, head over to the Manchester’s Finest website here.
There’s also more details on what else you’ll need to do to get notified when the other doors are revealed.
Remember, these are going to be snapped up fast so you best make sure you’re ahead of the pack.
Good luck, and enjoy those curries…
Manchester’s first ‘lasagne slab shack’ is opening this week
Lazy Tony’s Lasagneria is coming to town
Lasagne is the food of the gods, cheesey, creamy pasta goodness that always hits the spot.
The one thing Manchester has been missing – besides a beach – is a dedicated lasagne spot, somewhere you can grab a huge slab of the good stuff for a proper scran.
Well, not for much longer will our city be missing such a spot, as Lazy Tony’s Lasagneria is coming to Manchester this week.
Manchester’s lasagne dry spell is set to end this week with the official launch of Lazy Tony’s, the city’s first and only ‘slab shack’.
It’s set to become your new favourite place for a huge chunk of pasta, ragu and cheese, as well as freshly-baked focaccia bread, mozzarella sticks and even ‘Unofficially Officially The Best Tiramisu in the World‘.
All of the pasta is made fresh daily, and Lazy Tony uses proper Italian tomatoes – there’s even a 100% vegan option on the menu.
But how do you get your hands on one, I hear you ask?
Pre-orders will be going LIVE today, Wednesday, April 14th, ready for curbside pick up from Friday in Ancoats – Lazy Tony’s is currently operating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
You can head on over to their Instagram here for all of the latest developments, or alternatively visit the website here.
‘The Garden of April’ has opened at San Carlo’s restaurant in Hale Barnes
If you can’t fly to Italy this summer, this is the next best thing
Italian favourite San Carlo has opened a brand new Italian garden dining experience in Hale Barns, called Il Giardinio di Aprile (The Garden of April).
Open from 12 ‘til late seven days a week, the Garden of April at San Carlo Fiorentina brings a touch of Italian magic to the UK.
As guests step into the covered, all-weather, open air dining terrace they will find themselves transported to a magical landscaped space, reminiscent of the romantic garden terrace restaurants on the Amalfi coast.
The stunning Italian garden comes complete with verdant foliage, a magnificent magnolia tree in full bloom, ornamental statues and terracotta planters full to bursting with spring flowers.
Diners, seated at elegant tables with white linens and chic table lamps, can enjoy all the usual San Carlo menu favourites.
There’ll be spectacular seafood such as Tagliolini Lobster, Spaghetti Frutti di Mari – a huge sharing pasta dish with clams, mussels, prawns, garlic and tomato and salt-baked sea bass.
There will be something for everyone with steaks, colourful salads, pasta (including gluten free options) and pizza, plus the usual cocktails, wines and fizz will be served to your table.
Patio heaters are dotted throughout the covered garden and diners are encouraged to wrap up warm as part of their alfresco experience.
San Carlo Restaurants managing director, Marcello Distefano, said: “After such a difficult year, we wanted to create a true escape for people, we want them to feel like they’ve been transported to somewhere very special, somewhere that’s out of reach to us right now.
“We hope people will love it as much as we do.”
