COMING SOON: Burgerism is opening its first ever ‘on-street’ venue next month
People across south Manchester will be able to get their hands on some of the best burgers in the city…
The restaurant renown for serving some of the city’s best burgers has announced plans to open it’s first ever ‘on-street’ venue in Stockport.
Born as a dark kitchen in Salford, Burgerism boomed in popularity throughout 2020 when people were stuck at home and growing increasingly bored of their own home-cooked meals.
The takeaway has become well known and loved for its burgers, which were even proclaimed as ‘the best burgers in Manchester’ by Mana’s Michelin-starred Head Chef, Simon Martin.
More recently, it was announced that Burgerism had the most delivered burger on Deliveroo in Manchester in the whole of 2021, before the restaurant went on to secure the award for Food Trader of the Year at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards 2022.

So fans of the restaurant will be pleased to hear that, just months after its move into Escape to Freight Island, Burgerism’s first ever ‘on-street’ restaurant is now in the works in Stockport.
The venue, located in Gatley, will enable the business to transform into an on-street modern takeaway establishment.
Burgerism owner Mark Murphy commented: “We’re building the future of takeaway. Our goal is to become the go-to delivery burger across the UK, almost like Domino’s is to pizza.”
He added: “We’re super excited to launch in the Stockport/Cheadle area. Right from day one, we’ve had lots of die-hard Burgerism fans making the pilgrimage across from Stockport to Salford and, while we’ve admired their commitment, we felt it was time to bring Burgerism closer to more of the fans.

“From our store in Gatley, we’ll offer delivery and collection, with delivery available right across Didsbury, Heaton Moor, Stockport, Wythenshawe, and Cheadle Hulme.”
Murphy explained that the collection system in the new Stockport site will work in a similar way to the existing one in Salford, with customers ordering ahead for a set pick-up slot.
He continued: “We’ve got some exciting plans for launch week and we’re hoping to say hi to lots of Burgerism fans old and new.”
