Following the news last week that Manchester Pride is planning to go ahead with a physical festival this year, tickets are now on sale.

The event is a chance for LGBTQ+ people and their allies to come together to celebrate LGBTQ+ life in Greater Manchester, and will take place over the August Bank holiday.

Tickets went on sale today, Thursday March 4th, at 9am, with the festival launching tickets for all the events across the weekend.

Mark Fletcher, CEO for Manchester Pride, said: “Manchester Pride Festival is one of the world’s leading celebrations of LGBTQ+ life.

“The Festival is made up of a number of events, some are free to attend and some require you to purchase a ticket. Our events fall under the six key strands of the Festival: Equality, Arts and Culture, Community, Party, Activism and Youth and Family.

“A huge thanks goes out to those who purchase tickets to attend our events. Because of you, we can continue to support and empower LGBTQ+ people all year round.

“Find out more about the work of that charity and how your support helps to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people on our website.”

Rainbow passes, which allow access to the Manchester Pride Festival as well as four days at the Gay Village party, start at £38.50 for a day or £69.50 for the weekend, and Gay Village Party tickets are £15 for one day or £22.50 for all four days.

New to this year is the introduction of Low Income Tickets, which are reserved for participants on a limited income.

The Low Income Ticket Programme offers a reduced ticket price of 50%, and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis up to June 30th – or until they have sold out, whichever comes first.

These tickets are available for both the Gay Village Party and MCR Pride Live, and due to there being a limited number of Low Income Tickets available, they are restricted for Greater Manchester residents only.

To qualify for the Low Income Ticket Programme, attendees will need to provide evidence of one of the following:

  • Universal Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)

The social-distanced outdoor dino adventure in Hyde is set to reopen this spring following the lifting of restrictions.

Families loved Totally Roarsome when it opened to the public in the middle of last year once restrictions were eased.

Created in an untouched woodland in Hyde, the trail featured dinosaurs, jungle animals and Arctic creatures as well as a couple of superheroes, pirates and cartoon characters too.

Named as one of the safest attractions for the family in Greater Manchester, families have been eagerly awaiting the news as to when the adventure will reopen after closure during the cold winter.

The attraction has officially announced that it will be reopening for the Easter Holidays following Boris’ latest announcement.

Announcing on social media, Totally Roarsome wrote: “Enter into Jurassic Land, then onto the Jungle and once you’ve encountered our dinosaurs, lions, and tigers, it’s off on a Bear Hunt.

“Then take a trip through the Wild West and head down the rabbit hole into Alice’s Wonderland, before making your way into Neverland, where there are pirates everywhere you turn.

“Then we are off to the world of superheroes [where] Batman, Superman and Spiderman will all be there to greet you, before finally wandering through our fantasy land with dragons, unicorns and knights of the realm.

“With Dinosaurs, unicorns and superheroes all on the same day, what else do you need?”

The attraction now has a new home at Mottram Hall with strict Covid restrictions in place to ensure the safety of guests.

Tickets are on sale now and will set you back £7.95 (plus a £1.50 booking fee per transaction). They must be booked in advance to enable for monitoring of numbers to follow the Covid-safety precautions and social distancing measures.
