Chaos Karts

The UK’s first live action video game go-karting experience, combining real-life racing with augmented reality, is coming to Manchester this year.

The all-new attraction throws players into a virtual world, living inside a real-life video game to race-battle their friends, family, rivals and colleagues.

Engineered by The Ents Inc, Chaos Karts combines the worlds of go-karting and augmented reality and will launch in Manchester and Dubai on September 1st 2023 — offering an unrivalled, fun-fuelled experience for everyone aged nine and above.

This completely unique and highly innovative experience will have players burning rubber in a digitally projected world, whilst their vehicle interacts with any challenges rival players might ‘launch’ their way. The experience will transport players worlds away from the everyday as they compete against each other to win points and races.

Using unmatched, state-of-the-art technology, the karts will be kitted out with features to produce real life sensations and reactions that will immerse competitors fully into the high-energy thrill ride.

Each race varies in design, complete with pumping music and ground-breaking in-game usable in-kart power-ups with weapons that will allow players to ‘battle’ right up to the finishing line.

With no physical obstacles on the track and anti-collision technology, helmets and driving suits are not required.
In what will be an action packed year for Chaos Karts, 2023 will also see the opening of a first Chaos Karts international franchise site launching in Dubai.

Partners in Dubai, Rushd Mowjee said: “This futuristic project is set to take the city by storm, offering an exciting and immersive racing experience like no other.”

Tom Lionetti-Maguire, who was also the Founder of Little Lion Entertainment, creators of The Crystal Maze and Tomb Raider Experiences, said: “We are so excited to be launching this brand-new attraction, and especially to be doing so in Manchester and Dubai this year.

“Creating a real-life version of a videogame has been an obsession for some time and Chaos Karts is a real game changer. It’s literally like stepping into your favourite racing game and I know the people of both these great cities are going to love it.”

Chaos Karts is set to be one of the biggest attractions in 2023 – pit stop whatever you are doing fast, and book now to avoid disappointment. Tickets for Chaos Karts will start at £15 per person and you can find out more here.

The site is located at Studio 1, Old Granada Studios, Manchester, M3 4FP.

Avril Lavigne is coming to Manchester to perform a huge outdoor gig at Castlefield Bowl next summer.

The Canadian singer-songwriter has announced two outdoor shows in the UK in 2024.

She will be performing at Cardiff Castle on July 2nd before heading to Manchester to play at Castlefield Bowl on July 3rd, as part of the Sounds Of The City series.

The star will be supported by Canadian rock band Simple Plan, best known for their song ‘I’m Just a Kid’.

Lavigne enjoyed success with her pop-punk songs in the noughties, including the hits ‘Sk8er Boi’, ‘Complicated’ and ‘Girlfriend’.

She is best known for her monochrome punk-style, smokey eyes and long blonde hair – something every skater girl wannabe copied.

The punk-pop star shared her latest studio album back in February 2022 under the title ‘Love Sux’. She later released an expanded deluxe version of the LP in November of that year.

She has received eight Grammy Awards nominations, including Best New Artist.

The UK tour will be a celebration of her Love Sux album and will be part of wider touring throughout Europe in 2024, taking place at festivals including I Days in Milan on July 9th, Festival de Nîmes in Nîmes on July 10th, and Festival Cruïlla in Barcelona on July 12th.

The singer is yet to announce any more UK dates as of yet, but the upcoming dates in Manchester and Cardiff won’t be her only shows lined up for next summer.

Tickets to see Avril Lavigne perform next year will go on sale this Friday, December 1st, at 10am and will be available to buy HERE.
