Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton will be performing at Altrincham’s The Bowdon Rooms later this year.

Natasha, who was born in Liverpool, initially rose to fame as the lead singer of the 2000s girl band and enjoyed huge success with nineteen singles and three studio albums.

However, despite her achievements in the music industry, Natasha took a step back in 2003 when the band split up, returning only briefly in 2012 and 2017.

Most fans will remember her 2015 Celebrity Big Brother appearance, too, where she came in third place.

Natasha went on to move into the world of theatre, and performed in large stage productions of Blood Brothers and Rent.

And, in more recent times, she has also trained as an ‘unconscious mind therapist.’ As reported by The Sun, Natasha plans to help others change their mindsets and fulfil their dreams after becoming a ‘different woman’ from the practice herself.

Speaking about the experience and change of direction, she said:  “I am a different woman now to that of five/six years ago but it’s not been an easy journey.

“Taking back control of your life takes commitment but with these new skills I have learned, I will be able to fast track people’s need to live a fulfilled life.”

But this year, she is set to briefly revisit her past.

In her first live concert of the year, Natasha will be coming to Altrincham’s The Bowdon Rooms on September 3rd to perform a series of her most popular hits from both Atom Kitten and her solo career.

This comes ahead of an upcoming 2021 project, which has so far been kept tightly under wraps.

The newly-renovated Adelphi Lads Club and ShinDigger has unveiled its August schedule with a series of FREE beer parties across the month.

The historic venue, located on Cannon Street in Salford, reopened back in June after standing derelict and neglected for over a decade.

So to mark its first summer back appropriately, Adelphi Lads Club has teamed up with local brewery ShinDigger to host the epic Shingri-La Festival.

The festival will see the venue be transformed into a free beer party every weekend in August, where it will play home to a range of local food vendors and DJs.

Adelphi Lads Club

The residency kicks off this weekend on Saturday August 6th with an event curated by Salford DJ Jenna G. Throughout the day, local artists including Aletha, Lena C, and Mystique will take to the stage for a day-long party in the venue’s newly renovated terrace.

The following week on Saturday August 13th, Steam Radio will take to the decks alongside Nabihah Iqbal and Salary Boy.

The line-up continues the week after on Saturday August 20th with iconic performers such as Mafalda, Alexander Nut and Leon Riley, with even more names set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Dr. Banana will then host a legendary set to conclude the festival on Sunday August 28th.

And on the drinks front, ShinDigger will be on hand with a wide selection of its IPAs and lagers, as well as its beloved summer range.

Adelphi Lads Club

ShinDigger was founded in 2013 by students Paul and George, who started selling their home-brew at house parties.

The business, launched with a small £10k government grant for young entrepreneurs, has gone from strength to strength throughout the last nine years, and has released over forty different beers, all of which have proven to be a huge hit among Mancunians.

And to soak up the booze will be a selection of freshly baked pizzas from local pizzeria Talk to Me Pizza. Wing Tings will also be serving up their signature style chicken wings and chicken tender sandwiches, the perfect pairing with ShinDigger’s IPA.

The Shingri-La Festival events are completely free to attend, though bookings are recommended to avoid disappointment.

Manchester is set to embrace the unusually chilly World Cup with the arrival of an immersive covered football fan park.

The highly-anticipated football tournament is set to look slightly different this year, with it being hosted in the middle of winter over in Qatar from November 21st to December 18th.

This means instead of soaking up the summer sun with jugs of beer, football fans will this year be forced to don scarves and hats, all while retreating to the warmth of pubs and any establishment with decent central heating.

But luckily for Mancunian fans, a covered football fan park will be arriving at Soccer 6’s in Trafford Park to host the ultimate viewing experience.

4TheFans

4TheFans is bringing back the big game atmosphere and immersive fan experience following a hugely successful summer last year, where it housed 25,000 fans for the Euros tournament.

Trafford Park will be transformed into the ultimate football venue, with huge anti-glare screens, world-class sound systems, an exclusive bar, local food traders, DJs, and competitions with huge prizes to be won.

And as per 4TheFans tradition, each match screening will welcome a footballing legend, with favourites last year including Paul Merson, Tony Cottee, Trevor Sinclair, Wes Brown and Stuart Downing.

These football icons will provide exclusive match analysis throughout the games, alongside ‘bags of banter’ as they engage with fans.

4TheFans

The football legends confirmed for Manchester are:

  • Monday November 21st: Wes Brown for England v Iran. Doors open at 10am for 1pm kick off.
  • Friday November 25th: Joleon Lescott for England v USA. Doors open at 5pm for 7pm kick off.
  • Tuesday November 29th: Wes Brown for England v Wales/Scotland/Ukraine. Doors open 5pm for  7pm kick off.

4TheFans will be taking over Trafford Park for the full duration of the tournament from November 21st to December 18th. The line up of local food vendors will be confirmed at the end of August.

General admission starts from £12pp, while VIP tickets start from £30. Season tickets are available for all three games in England’s group and the final, with prices starting from £40. Groups of six can also get 30% off their tickets.

Manchester is set to host the world’s biggest Banksy exhibition as part of its critically-acclaimed world tour, according to reports.

The Art of Banksy has already graced a number of major global cities on its tour, including Toronto, Tel Aviv, Miami, Melbourne, Sydney, and Gothenburg.

And next year, it is set to arrive in Manchester, where it will showcase some of the street artists’ best work and lesser known gems in a purpose-built gallery within the First Street development on River Street.

The plot has previously been used to host major events such as Pride and Homeground.

Manchester City Council and HOME are reportedly involved in the build of the new space, which will happen between Monday September 5th and Thursday September 22nd 2022.

There, a selection of prints, canvasses, screen prints, and limited-edition pieces dated between the years 1997 to 2008 will be displayed for visitors to see up close.

The exhibit will also feature the artists’ more recognisable pieces, such as ‘Girl and Balloon’, ‘Flower Thrower’ and ‘Rude Copper’, as well as some of Banksy’s lesser-known masterpieces.

Once open, visitors will reportedly be able to access the gallery from 10am – 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10am – 7pm Sunday to Thursday.

Exact opening dates are yet to be confirmed, although it’s rumoured that it will be open to the public from late September until January 2023.

Banksy, whose identity has never been revealed, is one of world’s most infamous artists, renown for his politically-motivated street art and explosive ‘pranks’.

Back in 2018, he organised for his ‘Girl with a Balloon’ piece to be put through a shredder just moments after it had been sold at auction for £1.4m. Funnily enough, the shredded-version of piece shot up in value, making it more valuable than ever before.
