The larger than life actor, writer and presenter is known best for his hearty, king-sized portrayals on film and television.
A giant of a man accompanied by an eloquent wit and operatic voice, he is also an avid explorer and climber, and ‘An Evening with Brian Blessed’ will combine anecdotes from his illustrious acting career with tales of his adventuring.
And, with his career spanning more than fifty years, there will be no shortage of material.
On screen, he has appeared in everything from Doctor Who to Kenneth Branagh’s Shakespeare films. On stage, his credits range from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
His trademark booming voice has also featured on everything from Peppa Pig character Grampy Rabbit to a voice download on TomTom’s sat nav system – he’s quite literally done everything.
Blessed is also an avid climber and, throughout the evening, will also be talking about his Everest climb without oxygen; his expedition to the jungles of Venezuela during which he survived a plane crash; his trek to the North Pole and his many hours of space training in Russia.
The evening will include a 3-course dinner, live entertainment, a memorabilia auction and a chance to ask your own questions in an audience Q & A.
Guests will also receive their own photograph with Brian Blessed to remember the evening.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 4th, at The Bowdon Rooms, with a black tie dress code.
Tickets are limited for this exclusive one-off event, so make sure you get yours here.

There’s a huge Courteeners themed party coming to Manchester
Love a bit of Courteeners? Well, a Northern Quarter boozer has you covered.
Ahead of the Courteeners’ massive homecoming gig at Old Trafford next weekend, a Northern Quarter boozer is throwing a huge pre-show party to get all you concert-goers warmed up for the festivities.
The Pen & Pencil, located down Hilton Street, is throwing the do for all those who have managed to get their hands on tickets for the shows – and those who sadly haven’t, too.
And even more excitedly, XS Manchester DJ and overall legend Clint Boon will be in attendance, dishing out a load of the Courteeners’ top tunes plus a load of other staple Manc music.
The party is completely FREE to attend, and will be the perfect spot for getting into that concert mood we’ve all missed for the last year or so. The Pen & Pencil is also located just a short walk from the Piccadilly Metrolink stop, where you can jump on a tram and get to the gig in just ten minutes.
The gig is set to be one of Manchester’s first since the start of the pandemic, which saw all live music grind to a halt.
The Middleton-born rockers will be joined by The Smiths’ Johnny Marr and Stockport band Blossoms, as well as The Big Moon and Zuzu.
So, do you fancy it?
There’ll be no need to make a booking or reservation, all you’ll need to do is turn up and enjoy the music. The party starts at 4pm and runs through to 7pm.
