Love Island contestant Liam Llewellyn has left the Spanish villa less than a week into the new series, new reports are claiming today.

Viewers are in for a ‘dramatic’ episode tonight as the twenty-two year old is set to make a sudden announcement to the other contestants around the fire pit, a television insider has claimed.

The exact reason for Liam’s decision is currently unknown but, according to insiders, it is ‘big and dramatic’.

The source told The Sun: “The reasons behind it are unknown so viewers will be glued to their screens tonight to find out.”

The Welsh Masters student will reportedly ask the boys to help him get everyone gathered for his announcement, saying: “I think we need to have a chat, we need to get everyone by the fire pit.”

A spokesperson for Love Island has declined to comment on the shock exit.

This comes after Liam was left single after two unsuccessful dates with contestants Afia Tonkmor and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

Liam was originally coupled up with Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma, nineteen, but was left single again after businessman and self-proclaimed ‘Italian Stallion’ Davide Sanclimenti swooped in for a sudden re-coupling.

He had said before entering the villa that he was hoping to strike a bond early with one of the contestants in the hopes of developing a relationship throughout the show.

He said at the time: “I think twenty-two is a really nice age to meet someone, you’ve got your years ahead of you so you have time to experience stuff and grow together.

“I think Love Island is a great opportunity to meet someone, you’re in with a load of different types, so you can get to grips with what you really like about people.”

Love Island returns to ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
