If tea is your go-to brew, this may be the dream job for you: Tetley Tea is on the hunt for someone to drink tea and travel the world for a living.
The popular tea brand is looking for two people with a ‘clear passion for everything tea related’ to be one of their graduate trainee tea buyers.
Though it is worth mentioning that this unique job opportunity includes tasting up to 300 types of tea every day to develop your palate, organising and prioritising tea tasting alongside admin work, building relationships with suppliers and hitting weekly deadlines… But that sounds manageable alongside a nice brew, doesn’t it?
And better yet, while the job role will be based at the Tetley headquarters in London, after completing training the successful candidates will be given the opportunity to travel the world to visit and explore growing tea regions while expanding their own knowledge on all things cuppas.
The job advert reads: “Initially you will be supporting the tea buyer and work closely alongside the tasters to develop your palate.
“After a few years, there will be opportunity to travel to tea growing regions to build relationships with suppliers and cement your knowledge of the tea manufacturing process.
“You will have the chance to work on many origins throughout your training and after five years you can expect to progress into a fully qualified tea buyer responsible for your own origin.”
And for the boring stuff; the ideal candidate will need to have a 2:2 level or above degree qualification, strong analytical skills, strong planning, time management and organisation skills, cultural and commercial awareness, and be able to work well under pressure.

GMP seize purple Lamborghini for driving ‘antisocially’ around Salford Quays
In certain parts of Greater Manchester nuisance drivers are a real issue for residents.
One such area is Salford Quays, with people driving around late at night and keeping people up at ungodly hours.
This was the case earlier this week, when a purple Lamborghini was spotted by police causing a racket in the area.
According to GMP Salford, the brightly coloured sports car was seen ‘driving antisocially around Salford Quays, causing danger to others and making a racket during the night’.
As a result the Lamborghini Huracan was seized by officers.
GMP Salford wrote on their socials: “#WhileWeWereAway #GMPTransportUnit spotted this purple Lamborghini driving antisocially around Salford Quays, causing a danger to other road users and pedestrians, and making a racket during the night for residents.
“The Huracan was seized under s.59 Police Reform Act #NotSoSuperCar”.
Aldi is selling a wine advent calendar just in time for Christmas
‘Tis the season to drink a lot of wine…
As the festive period looms ever closer, Aldi has unveiled this year’s boozy advent calendar and, for 2022, it’s all about the vino.
While the budget supermarket wowed shoppers with its gin and craft beer advent calendars last year, it has now unveiled a wine version, complete with a mini collection of elegant whites, reds and fruity rosés.
There are twenty-four bottles in the calendar, with each coming to a rough price of £2.49 each – which is a total steal for a quality glass of wine.
And you won’t be able to find these wines on the shelves in Aldi or online because they’re limited edition especially for the advent calendar.
The advent calendar costs £59.99 and will be available to buy online only from October 30th.

Petition to axe Holly and Phil from This Morning passes 55,000 signatures
It comes after the hosts seemingly pushed in the queue to see the Queen’s funeral at Westminster Hall last week
A petition calling for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to be axed from This Morning has now surpassed 55,000 signatures.
Holly and Phil were spotted filing into Westminster Hall on Friday last week as tens of thousands of mourners queued through the night to pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth.
Yet while most people stood in the now-famous queue for as long as fifteen hours – football star David Beckham reportedly waited in the line for thirteen hours – the hosts seemingly skipped the entire queue.
The pair were immediately met with a wave of backlash online, with ITV bosses hastily insisting they were there as ‘credited members of the press’, and therefore had not pushed in the queue.
Holly and Phil themselves also addressed the backlash during Tuesday’s episode, saying while they both ‘understand the reaction’, they would ‘never jump a queue’.
They added that they had been given ‘official permission to access the hall’ like ‘hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists.’
Despite their explanation, however, a petition calling for their removal from This Morning – and the cancellation of the show altogether – continued to gain traction, with it today surpassing 50,000 signatures.
The petition, labelled ‘Axe Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby from TV’, explains: “Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, two hosts of one of the most damaging to mental health day time tv show This Morning, were able to push past those thousands and get immediate access.
“ITV should be ashamed of exploiting the situation. I’d like to see This Morning axed for good as I do believe it causes more harm than good, without people noticing. For example, like turning cost of living anxiety into a game show.
“At the least though, these toxic presenters Holly and Philip should finally be removed from our TV screens. They monopolised way too long.”
At the time of writing, the petition has 56,249 signatures, though this number is rising rapidly by the hour.
Sources close to Holly have told The Mirror that she has no intention of stepping aside from a job she loves, with her and Phil choosing to instead ‘weather the storm’.
They said: “The abuse has been nothing short of disgusting, not least as they have done nothing wrong and were fully entitled to media accreditation so they could inform their viewers.
“There is huge, real and serious concerns over their wellbeing and ITV are fully supporting them behind the scenes in the face of such relentless trolling.
“The channel backs them 110%.”
They added: “She [Holly] adores her job and would never quit. The whole experience has been totally brutal but one thing has remained constant, and that’s been ITV’s unwavering support.”
