To celebrate the opening of its new Oxford Road cafe, Loaf will be giving out free slices of its famous loaf cake this weekend.
100 slices of cake are up for grabs today (Friday November 4th) in the brand new retro pink cafe, found at Bruntwood Works’ St James’s Building.
Loaf will continue their baking bonanza the following day on Saturday and Sunday (November 5th and 6th), with entertainers dishing out delicious cake samples from 12-5pm, bringing back fan-favourite flavours Manchester Tart Load and Vimto Loaf.
Every 10th customer will also be in with a chance to win their coffee or cake completely on the house.

Alongside their classic collection of nostalgic cakes, customers can expect a range of new specials every two weeks, with their most recent creations including Solero, Lemon Meringue Pie, Pina-ca-Loafa, and Chocolate Vimto with ice cream.
There’ll also be handmade Loaf Au Choc and Brioche Loaf fresh on the counter every day – served by the slice with your choice of toppings.
Loaf found life in the height of the Covid pandemic in May 2020 when owner and founder Aiden started selling his homemade loaf cakes in a bid to raise money for the NHS.
Aiden’s freshly baked loafs and their unique flavours and toppings proved to be a huge hit and, before he knew it, he was supplying thirteen different cafes across Manchester and making personalised orders from a shipping container in Pollard Yard, Ancoats.
According to Aiden, Gordon opted for a slice of that week’s special Manchester Tart, which featured the traditional flavours of custard, raspberry jam and coconut in honour of the iconic dessert.
It was a huge hit with the hotheaded chef, with him writing on Instagram: “Thank you for joining us for a slice of the Manchester Tart and for the well wishes!!! Such a gent!!!
“If Gordon says it’s good, it must be good – right?!”.
