Manchester is set to welcome a brand new cafe dedicated to all things loaf cake.

Loaf Manchester found life in the height of the Covid pandemic in May 2020, with founder and owner Aiden Ryan selling his homemade loaf cakes in a bid to raise money for the NHS.

Aiden’s freshly baked loafs and their unique flavours and toppings proved to be a huge hit and, before he knew it, he was supplying thirteen different cafes across Manchester and making personalised orders from a shipping container in Pollard Yard, Ancoats.

In less than two years, Loaf Manchester has supplied the likes of Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, and is now gearing up to open its first official site in Affinity Living Riverview, Salford.

On the menu, guests can expect to find all the usual loaf delights that have made the brand so popular over the years, including fan favourite flavours of Jammie Dodger, Biscoff, Bourbon Biscuit, and Custard Cream.

Alongside Loaf Manchester’s classic collection of nostalgic cakes, there will be a selection of handmade Loaf Au Choc, Croissant Loaf and Brioche Loaf fresh on the counter each day.

And for the first time, Loaf Manchester will be offering a selection of light lunch options to balance the sweet with savoury, including artisanal sandwiches and bagels from Sndwch Mcr, salads and smoothies from Bondi Bowls, and natural made soft drinks from Steep Soda Co.

Loaf Manchester will be opening its Affinity Living Riverview cafe this weekend and, to celebrate, will be throwing launch parties on both Saturday and Sunday, complete with cake, booze and live music.

Aiden said on Loaf Manchester’s new chapter: “We are so proud of where the brand is now and the connections we’ve made – the support we’ve had from both customers and local business has been absolutely incredible.

“This weekend is not just the launch of our first site, it’s the celebration of our partnership with Affinity Living, a community driven place to live, as well as the creatives and small businesses that have helped elevate Loaf to where it is now.”

Loaf Manchester will be opening to the public on Saturday May 14th with an epic launch party starting at 12pm-9pm.

There will be a second launch party the following day on Sunday May 15th, starting at 11am-5pm.

“Best of all, if you finish it, you get your next carvery on us. Once you’ve polished off your Carvery Sundae, a team member will give you a receipt to redeem a carvery meal the next time you’re in the pub.”

To take part in the challenge and be in with a chance of winning a free carvery, customers will need to ask for a topping of gravy on their sundae when they order.
