The man who was killed after being electrocuted by a pylon in South Manchester has been identified and named as missing Amazon worker Hristo Angelov.
Angelov, originally from Bulgaria, had been reported as missing from his home in Cheadle Heath, Stockport, on March 17th.
Tragically, the twenty-nine-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene in Wythenshawe just one night before.
According to ITV News, Angelov was an only child to parents Milen and Rositsa, who live in Bulgaria, but moved to Stockport around five years ago to work as an Amazon packer.

He has been described as a ‘quiet’ and ‘kind’ man who was ‘adored’ by all.
A statement issued by Angelov’s family reads: “We would like to share a sincere heartfelt thank you to everybody who helped to search and to those who provided information and sightings that ultimately enabled the police to confirm the identity of the gentleman involved in the pylon incident as missing local man Hristo Angelov.
“Hristo was a kind and quiet man who was loved and adored by all his family and friends. We are now making preparations for him to come home to Bulgaria for a family funeral.”
Emergency services were called out to reports of a man on top of a pylon on Princess Parkway – beside the M60 slip road – shortly after 5:30pm on March 16th.
A cordon was later erected around the wooded area at the foot of the pylon as forensic officers arrived to investigate.
This caused huge queues of congestion, with traffic officers reopening only one lane, allowing drivers to slowly pass the cordon in single file
Onlookers told the Manchester Evening News at the time that they had seen an ‘explosion’ at the top of the pylon at the time of the incident, with others reporting flickering lights and temporary power cuts in their homes nearby.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the incident are not believed to be suspicious.
