2020 just got even better…

Reese's

As the dust settles after Christmas and the realisation that it’s now officially 2020 hits us hard, it’s time to look to the future.

If you take a stroll around most supermarkets, you’ll notice that the future is Easter – at least that’s according to their chocolate egg-covered shelves.

While it’s still very early to be celebrating Easter, the upside is we’ve been treated to news of a load of great chocolate offers recently – like this Reese’s peanut butter filled egg.

Reese’s

That’s right, you can get a chocolate egg full of peanut butter this Easter, but you best be quick as they sold out very fast last year.

You can grab one from Iceland for a mere £4 – a bargain, I’m sure you’ll agree – but these will definitely fly off the shelves so don’t mess about.

As well as selling super quick, they were also more expensive last year at £7 a pop – 2020 is looking good already.

You can currently get your hands on them on Iceland’s website here.

Greggs is launching a vegan sausage, bean and cheese melt

Who fancies trying one of these?

Published

Greggs

Greggs has announced it’s adding yet another vegan alternative to its ever-expanding plant-based menu.

This time the popular bakery chain is veganising what in my humble opinion is the greatest pasty of all time – the sausage, bean and cheese melt.

Greggs confirmed the news on special media today, announcing that the vegan option would be hitting heated shelves next month.

The company wrote on Twitter: “The Vegan Sausage, Bean, and CheeZe Melt is coming. WARNING, it’s a bit of a mouthful.”

The accompanying video read: “First we gave you the vegan sausage roll. Then the vegan steak bake. And now, another legend has been veganed”.

Greggs say the new vegan alternative is fulfilling and tasty, with the same ‘sausagey’ and ‘beany’ flavours as the OG, meat-filled option.

It’s made using plant-based ingredients instead of meat, and cheeze – a dairy substitute which is flavoured like cheddar and mozzarella.

Bob Harvey / Geograph

Hannah Squirrell, Greggs’ customer director, said: “The latest addition to our menu gives customers another vegan friendly alternative to one of our most iconic menu items.

“As we expand our vegan options with the launch of our new Vegan Sausage, Bean and CheeZe Melt, we mark another milestone as we continue with our journey to become our customers’ favourite destination for food-on-the-go.”

The new offering is hitting stores on August 5th and will set you back £1.60.
