One of the most popular retro chocolate bars is returning to supermarket shelves in the UK

People are going nuts for them!

Snickers is going back to its roots by releasing Marathon bars for a limited time, and everyone is going nuts!

We’ve all got our favourite chocolates that are no more. For instance, mine is the Galaxy truffles in a box of Celebrations – Christmas just hasn’t been the same since.

For many people, it’s Marathon bars. In fact, Snickers bars are Britain’s second favourite chocolate bar, after Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, selling £1.6billion worth of them across the world each year.

So if you’re after some nutty nostalgia again, you’re in luck. Last year Snickers rebranded to its old name for a limited time, and fans bought over four million in just 12 weeks – so it’s only right they did it again!

The fans were that nutty about them Morrisons had to introduce a limit on how many a customer could buy at once.

David Manzini, General Manager at Mars Wrigley UK, said: “At Mars Wrigley we’re all about creating better moments through our sweet treats. It’s clear that after nearly 30 years away, people loved the return of the Marathon bar last year.

“When the British public speaks, we always aim to deliver! It’s great that after making chocolate in the UK for nearly 90 years people still love our chocolate!”

They’re available exclusively at Morrisons and McColl’s for a very limited time. It’s also the first time in 30 years the treat has been available in single bar format, so you can grab and go to your heart’s content.

Marathon bars will be in Morrisons and McColl’s stores from August 10th for three months.
