Snickers is going back to its roots by releasing Marathon bars for a limited time, and everyone is going nuts!
We’ve all got our favourite chocolates that are no more. For instance, mine is the Galaxy truffles in a box of Celebrations – Christmas just hasn’t been the same since.
For many people, it’s Marathon bars. In fact, Snickers bars are Britain’s second favourite chocolate bar, after Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, selling £1.6billion worth of them across the world each year.
So if you’re after some nutty nostalgia again, you’re in luck. Last year Snickers rebranded to its old name for a limited time, and fans bought over four million in just 12 weeks – so it’s only right they did it again!
The fans were that nutty about them Morrisons had to introduce a limit on how many a customer could buy at once.
David Manzini, General Manager at Mars Wrigley UK, said: “At Mars Wrigley we’re all about creating better moments through our sweet treats. It’s clear that after nearly 30 years away, people loved the return of the Marathon bar last year.
“When the British public speaks, we always aim to deliver! It’s great that after making chocolate in the UK for nearly 90 years people still love our chocolate!”
They’re available exclusively at Morrisons and McColl’s for a very limited time. It’s also the first time in 30 years the treat has been available in single bar format, so you can grab and go to your heart’s content.
Marathon bars will be in Morrisons and McColl’s stores from August 10th for three months.
Aldi is selling a footlong pigs in blankets butty as part of its Christmas range
That’s Christmas dinner sorted…
As Christmas day looms and the majority of the nation frantically gets their turkeys ordered and Brussels sprouts prepped, Aldi has quietly released what could be the ruler of all Christmas dinners far and wide.
Introducing: The footlong pigs in blankets sandwich.
The mammoth butty comes as an addition to the budget supermarket’s already impressive selection of festive goodies – the new hot chocolate mug melts are a must-try, by the way.
But back to the butty; the festive treat is described as a ‘meaty, footlong British pig in blanket‘, and comes slathered in layers of fried onion mayonnaise and sweet cranberry chutney, all of which is sandwiched between a soft footlong brioche roll with a healthy portion of butter basted British turkey.
It doesn’t get much more Christmassy than that, does it?
Shoppers won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on this festive treat either, as it will be made available in all stores nationwide this Friday, December 10th, for just £3.49.
And this isn’t the only good news coming from Aldi this Christmas; the supermarket has teamed up with Man United star Marcus Rashford for its 2021 Christmas advert campaign as part of its pledge to donated 1.8 million meals to families over the festive period.
Rashford shared the new advert – wherein he appears as Marcus ‘Radishford’ onto Twitter, writing: “Well done @AldiUK. This is much bigger than a Christmas ad… Might not be Oscar-worthy but glad I could play my part.”
The footballer added in a statement: “As a family, we relied on the local food bank to get our Christmas dinner. To this day, I remember queuing outside that building with mum, mum feeling embarrassed that she might be recognised.
“It is with that in mind that I’m delighted to lend my support to the Aldi campaign.
“For many children in situations like mine growing up, there is very little expectation around this time of year; add the impact of the pandemic and the very least they deserve is a Christmas dinner.”
You can now buy hot water bottle covers designed specifically for your feet
Layered socks, be gone!
Now that winter is in full swing, Amazon is selling hot water bottles with built-in pouches especially for your feet.
Okay, it’s no secret that hot water bottles are a God send throughout the winter months for everyone but, for those of us who feel the cold more than others, they can be a necessity.
So it is fantastic news that someone has invented a hot water bottle cover designed especially for feet.
Priced at just £16.55, the ‘heated foot warmer’ contains a compartment big enough for a 2L hot water bottle as well as a large pouch for you to slip your feet into to keep them nice and toasty.
The product’s description even claims to stay warm for a couple of hours, so if you suffer from icy cold feet in bed, the hot water bottle will stay warm enough just to see you off to sleep.
And the online reviews speak for themselves; one happy (and very warm) customer wrote: “I have struggled with bad circulation and icy feet for a long time. Thick socks and other things did not do the trick. This product solved my cold feet problem in a matter of minutes! Extremely soft and comfortable and very easy to use.”
Another customer described them as ‘life changing’, writing: “I use it with woollen socks and the HWB stays warm enough for a couple of hours. Absolute luxury!”
Though this isn’t the only new hot water bottle revolutionising the market at the moment; back in October, a hot water bottle ‘pouch’ that straps around the waist went viral for it’s ‘miracle’ cramping relief.
Amazon’s description of the product, which comes with a cute koala covering, highlights how it will also provide relief for those suffering from health conditions such as arthritis, pulled or strained muscles and headaches, as well as both hot and cold therapy.

B&M is selling a hanging egg chair especially for your cat
Because our cats deserve only the best this Christmas
B&M has pulled out all the stops this winter with the launch of its new hanging egg chair designed especially for cats.
Now, anyone who has owned a cat will know that they deserve (and expect) nothing but the very best; so what better way to show them your love than with a luxury hanging egg chair?
B&M took to social media to reveal their revolutionary new product, writing: “You’re all fans of our sell-out egg chair – so now we’ve launched a new version…. For cats!
“This rattan effect egg chair is in stores soon (some lucky people have already picked one up!) so don’t miss out! Who’s feline the need to pick this up?!”
Putting awful cat puns to one side, the chair, which is priced at £55, has already proved to be a massive hit with shoppers online, with the post racking up thousands of comments and reactions across various platforms within just a few hours.
One social media user commented: “Oh, I must have that for my cats!”, while another tagged a friend, saying: “I don’t mean to influence you, but wouldn’t Peanut look cute in one…”.
The chair doesn’t seem to be available on the B&M website yet and no set release date has been announced, so it’s worth keeping an eye out in your local branch and on the website in the next week or so – because our cats deserve only the very best.
This comes after Aldi sent shoppers into a frenzy earlier this year with the launch of its very own wicker egg cat bed, which came as part of their new Eco Pet range.
The cat egg chair was made from hand-woven natural wicker, was hung from a strong metal frame and was, as you can imagine, too cute for words.
