What an offer…

It’s bad news for January diets, as 2020 seems to be providing us with a whole load of delicious yet unhealthy bargains – just yesterday we brought you the news that Terry’s Chocolate Orange Mini Eggs are out on shelves.

And now McDonald’s is getting in on the action, as the fast food company is offering a whole load of freebies throughout January.

It all kicks off tomorrow, Saturday January 4th, where you can grab a Big Mac or Vegetable Deluxe for just 99p from 11am until midnight.

McDonald’s

Next up is an even better bargain – you can grab a free single McMuffin until 11am on Sunday January 5th, and you don’t even need to buy any other item to qualify for the freebie.

Maccies is also doing its free cheeseburger offer throughout January, starting today, January 3rd, until the 31st – it’s only for new users of the app, though.

The McMuffin and Big Mac/Veggie Deluxe offers are available to all app users, however, so you don’t have to be a newbie to qualify.

McDonald’s

You can only redeem each offer once, and to get your hands on some discount Maccies all you have to do is download or access the app and purchase the food via it.

The rest of the month’s offers are yet to be announced, so keep your eyes peeled…

Ben & Jerry’s release their first ever ice cream on a stick and it looks incredible

The ‘Peace Pop’ is the first ever ice cream on a stick from Ben & Jerry’s

Ben & Jerry's

Ben & Jerry’s brand new ice cream treat comes on a stick and fans can’t wait to try it.

The ‘Peace Pop’ is the first ever ice cream on a stick from the ice cream kings, Ben & Jerry’s. It features Fairtrade vanilla ice cream complete with chocolate chips and even a cookie dough-inspired centre.

The whole thing is then coated in smooth chocolate and dunked onto a stick so you can enjoy on the go.

It’s been described as beneficial as you won’t need to get a bowl, spoon or do washing up. But we all know you just dig right into the tub of B&J’s anyway, so the real benefit is having this while you do other things, like go on your daily allowed walk.

Ben & Jerry’s

The new ice cream will be hitting the freezers in Co-op later this month, and will be £2.20 each or £4 for a pack of three.

Flavour guru Josine Nohlmans said: “We know people love our cookie dough like their own family or pets.

“So we reimagined it so they never need to leave home without it. Now they can walk their puppy AND enjoy Ben & Jerry’s.”

If you can’t wait, Ben & Jerry’s released the cookie dough recipe so you can remake the Cookie Dough Chunks at home. Perfect lockdown distraction!

You can now play Cards Against Humanity for free online with your mates in lockdown

Virtual fun is back for the new lockdown

You can now play a virtual game of Cards Against Humanity to help you through the third lockdown.

Unfortunately, as we’re flung into a third national lockdown, virtual quizzes and games look like they might be making a come back. Just when you thought you’d seen the last of Zoom-based organised fun!

The good news is that you can now play Cards Against Humanity with your friends via the internet, in the comfort of your own home, even in your pyjamas if you want.

It’s super easy to play too and it’s free!

Tom Bullock/Wikimedia

One person in your friendship group needs to head to playingcards.io and ‘create room’ to set up the virtual game.

Then you simply share the code with all the friends you want to play with so you can all see each others moves.

The rules are the same as a real life game of Cards Against Humanity – fill in the blanks of a statement card in the most hurtful, unacceptable and rude way you can. And all have a laugh about it.

If Cards Against Humanity isn’t for you, or perhaps you just fancy a family game that involves children, you can instead make your own game or play others such as Go Fish, Checkers, Crazy Eights and Match Up.

Lockdown fun is BACK!
