Iceland has created an extra special collection of meaty treats just in time for Father’s Day on June 21st.
If like me you’re stuck thinking about what to get your dad for Father’s Day, when taking him out for a big slap-up meal is out of the question, what about some of Iceland’s new ‘Big Daddy’ range of meats for a delicious home-cooked meal?
You can get him a huge hearty lunch or dinner with the Big Daddy range.
It includes Iceland’s gigantic Big Daddy Cheeseburger (£3), Big Daddy 12oz Sirloin Steak (£5) and Big Daddy 16oz Rump Steak (£5).
The collection is available at Iceland online and in-store now.
Obviously, the first option is go for the huge Big Daddy Cheeseburger (£3), which includes 1lb of Iceland’s beef patties piled high with a delicious and oozy cheese centre.
Pair the burger with Iceland Hash Brown Fries (£1.50, 550g) and sandwich the mega patty between a Warburtons Large Sliced Roll (£1.00, 4pk) for the perfect meal.
Or if opting for a huge steak is more your dad’s style, there’s the Big Daddy 12oz Sirloin Steak (£5). Serve alongside Iceland’s Battered Onion Rings (£1) and Steak Cut Chips (£1) for the ultimate pub grub at home.
To make it even better, add on some of Iceland Mac & Cheese (£1) on the side!
David Lennox, Head Chef at Iceland, said: “Iceland’s Big Daddy range really is an indulgent treat for Father’s Day – it’s a once-a-year opportunity to treat dads and it calls for a seriously big burger or steak to match the occasion.”
You can now get bacon-scented bubbles for your dog
That’s one way to keep them quiet…
Out of all the weird and wonderful inventions for dogs these days, bacon-scented bubbles could be the one that reigns supreme.
It’s no secret that bacon is the way to the hearts of all pooches far and wide, so this new toy could be a real winner when it comes to being the favourite dog-parent.
The new scented bubbles come courtesy of Yorkshire-based pet product manufacturers Pets Pad, who have perfected a non-toxic, tasty and deliciously-scented bubble mixture perfect for both dogs and children.
Each bottle – which can come in 150ml and 500ml sizes – contain thousands of bubbles, equating for hours of back garden fun.
The bubble mixture can be used with the accompanying hand-held wand or, alternatively, can be poured inside bubble machines to keep your dogs entertained all day.
And the reviews for the bubbles have been glowing, with a now-viral Facebook post having been inundated with thousands of comments from happy pet owners and parents.
Commenting on the post, which was shared into the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK page, one social media user wrote: “Can confirm, my dog adores these.
“The bubbles are edible too, so it’s safe if your dog snaps at them and catches a few!”
Another commented: “Been using this for months on my dog Marley [sic] he’s obsessed with them it gives him so much exercise chasing the bubbles up and down the garden”.
Though a third pet owner warned: “Just don’t use them in the house… Bacon scented carpet for days”.
Pots of the Bacon Scented & Flavoured Dog Bubbles are available to buy online from Pets Pad now, and cost from just £2.25. Order yours here.
