B&M is shutting down 49 of its stores across the UK

Some will stay open, though…

B&M is to shut down 49 of its stores across the country in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

49 of its branches will be temporarily closing down, as the budget retailer deals with the current situation.

Don’t panic if you can’t live without your B&M fix, though, as the retailer has 656 stores in the UK so there’ll still be a few open.

Jaggery / Geograph

The stores that are shutting are usually smaller ones in shopping centres, with 42 of the 49 that are closing located near to larger stores anyway, according to B&M.

It decided to keep all of its stores open initially so people could get groceries and other household items, but has now decided to shut some branches after reviewing its operations.

Staff at the affected stores will be furloughed under the UK’s job retention scheme, with the government covering 80% of their wages.

B&M hasn’t released a list of the stores which are closing, so your best bet is to contact your local branch beforehand to make sure it’s open.

Asda / Money Saver Online via Facebook

Asda has reduced the price of its huge seven-foot dinosaur sprinkler, which is perfect for the kids this weekend.

The huge price drop will save parents £15, as the blow-up Tyrannosaurus Rex will be reduced from £40 to £25.

The inflatable dino is recommended for kids aged three and above and looks like it will be perfect to keep the kids cool in this weekend’s heatwave.

The dinosaur, which stands 213cm tall, sprays water out of its mouth once a hose is attached.

Money Saver Online/Facebook

Luckily for those accident-prone kids, the dinosaur comes with a handy repair kit to patch up any accidents.

Currently it is sold out online, meaning you can only grab one for the garden in-store and as there is a massive saving to be had, it looks like stock might be quite limited.

The bargain was first spotted in the Facebook money-saving group Money Saver Online. The post read: “Kids will love having fun in the garden with this GIANT dino sprinkler, which we spotted reduced in the garden sale at Asda.”

If you’ve got kids absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs we made a handy list of all the dinosaur-themed places to take the kids throughout summer here

Or why not head to the dinosaur maze that recently opened up just an hour away from the city!

You can buy catering size boxes of Lotus Biscoff biscuits and they’ll last you until Christmas!

We’ve had Aldi’s Biscoff-inspired biscuit spread, biscuits covered in chocolate, cream sandwich biscuits and even Biscoff toasties available in Manchester, but sometimes you just want the good old classic.

And for those times you’ve got a craving, it’s probably best you have at least 300 in your cupboard.

It’ll set you back just £10.90, and is the perfect gift for yourself or any other Biscoff lover out there.

Lotus/Amazon

The product is described as: “The Lotus Original, a delicious caramelised biscuit, has been giving pleasure to both young and old since 1932.

“The unique caramelised taste is created by a traditional baking process, using only the finest ingredients. A perfect accompaniment for tea or coffee, alternatively this delicious biscuit is a real family favourite to enjoy at any time of the day.”

They’re proved really popular with fans too – just like anything Biscoff flavoured!

Although it’s actually a catering size box, I reckon you’ll get through these before Christmas.
