Yesterday we brought you the news that Asda is doing pairs of Friends trainers for just £15.
Well, they’re now sold out online unfortunately, but it turns out the supermarket’s new range of Friends branded clothing doesn’t stop there.
Asda George is also selling sweatshirts, pyjamas, socks and sliders, and they’ve been getting rave reviews online – one person said of the sold out white trainers: “Love love love these trainers, so fun and cheerful, as well as stylish and quite simple awesome.”
First up is a black sweatshirt themed on the popular TV series, which comes with umbrella branding, and according to Asda it’s ‘perfect for adding an extra layer to your weekend looks.’
The sweatshirt will set you back £15, and it’s gone down a storm, with perfect 5 star reviews. One happy customer said: “I bought this for my granddaughter’s 13th birthday and her face was a picture when she opened it as she is watching the series for the third time and absolutely loves it!”
If you’re after some casual footwear but don’t want to wait until the trainers are back in stock, how about some black pool sliders?
They’re a bargain at just £6, but you best be quick if you want some as they only have size small left.
Asda also has some Friends pyjamas going, although they’re kids rather than adult sizes – the sizes go up to age 14 though, so any small adults might just fit into them.
They’ll set you back £9 a pair, so get yourself over to the George website if you want to treat your kids – or if you’re a particularly small adult.
There’s also some Friends socks going for £5 for a pack of three, with one reviewer saying: “Great socks!! Lovely quality, washed well, daughter loved them!”
It’s not the first time Asda has sold a range of Friends clothing, with the supermarket releasing a load of goodies last year – all of which are currently sold out, with no indication when they might be back.
These also went down a treat, overwhelmingly getting five star reviews, and included a ‘We were on a break!’, ‘How you doin?’, and ‘Here come the meat sweats’ slogan t-shirts, as well as Central Perk pyjamas.
Sainsbury’s is doing giant ‘pigs in beach towels’ for summer barbecue season
Who else is excited for these?
We all know that pigs in blankets are the best part of Christmas dinner, but for some reason they don’t seem to get much of a look in for the rest of the year.
Well, not any more, as Sainsbury’s is launching some new giant ‘pigs in beach towels’ just in time for the summer barbecue season.
Made of jumbo British pork sausages wrapped in chestnut smoked streaky bacon, the pork treat is ideal for summer.
It’s launching with the rest of Sainsbury’s Summer Edition, which dropped both in stores and online from April 28th.
The supermarket sold over 20 million individual pigs in blankets at Christmas, meaning it’s a no-brainer to bring out a summer version of the festive treat.
The new pigs in beach blankets will set you back £4.50 for a pack.
The Summer Edition also features some brand new feta and spinach parcels for £2, falafel balls which will set you back £2, as well as a sweet potato falafel option (£2.50).
You can also grab harissa lamb and chicken koftas (£2.50), Raw Chilli & Garlic Prawn Skewers (£4) and Tandoori Vegan Kebabs (£2.50).
There’s also Halloumi & Vegetable Kebabs with Sweet Chilli Glaze (£3.75), as well as Mexican Corn Fritters (£2.50).
Head over to the website here to check out the full range.
Aldi is launching a new rattan tiki garden bar for £100 cheaper than Asda
It’s launching this Sunday online
Aldi is launching a brand new rattan tiki-style garden bar later this week as part of its Specialbuys range.
The tiki-style bar will be just under £200 when it launches on Sunday, making it £100 cheaper than a similar one that Asda sells.
You’ll be able to buy the bar online from Sunday May 9th for just £199.99.
Aldi is launching the bar online initially, as well as a £20 drinks trug which will accompany it nicely.
The rattan bar comes with a grey wicker finish, stylish fittings and a black tempered glass top, as well as shelves for storage and a metal frame to hang wine glasses on.
If you don’t fancy paying the £6.95 delivery charge you can wait until May 16th when the bar will hit stores.
Asda has a similar bar with a more beachy theme and straw-look canopy which will set you back £299, but you also get two stools which Aldi’s doesn’t include.
However, Asda’s tiki bar is sold out online and won’t be returning for a while, so the Aldi one might be your best option.
