One lucky dog owner could earn £1,000 a month to go to the pub with their pet dog.

Online dog essentials retailer Fetch Club Shop is looking for a ‘Pooch Pub Pundit’ to review dog-friendly pubs and cafés across the UK.

The successful candidate will need to review a minimum of four a month and travel expenses will be covered.

The role is for a six-month contract and a thorough review of each visited establishment will be expected to be provided.

Reviews will include details such as the quality of doggy treats and water bowls, the friendliness of the staff, and designated space for four-legged friends.

The retailer says a sense of humour and writing ability is a must, as the successful applicant will also be writing guides for the Fetch Club Shop blog.

The job description says the ideal candidate should have a ‘keen eye for detail, a nose for a good story, and a love of socialising with fellow dog lovers’. Applicants are required to be over 18, and in possession of a full driving licence.

Caroline Stronkhorst, founder of Fetch Club Shop, said: “The weather hasn’t been the kindest to us yet this year, but as summer nears, and as a nation of dog lovers, we want to make sure our furry friends are welcome at our favourite local pubs.

“With an estimated eleven million pet dogs in the UK, there’s a huge demand for accommodating pubs and cafes as owners look to enjoy themselves. We’re excited to create a guide to the best places in the country.”

Fetch Club Shop is an independent business based in Bedford, UK and specialises in providing high-quality pet products to dog owners across the country.
