Set to be the beating heart of the Ancoats neighbourhood, Edinburgh Castle is a pub that will serve food with a traditional angle from its ground floor but will have a 36-cover restaurant upstairs that will focus on British food with seasonality and provenance.

“A proper boozer with a proper pint.”

There will be a brunch menu on the weekends available 10am-3pm, and a Sunday Roast which promises to be on of the best in the city served each Sunday 12pm-8pm.

The man behind the drinks, Gethin Jones, promises that the pub focus will be on a good pint, Guinness on tap, a ‘solid’ Irish Coffee, and that guests can expect a strong whisky offering and a very considered gin list.
