ITV has pulled live TV from the air this morning following a bomb threat, with police allegedly surrounding the building.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby had been presenting This Morning live, but after they returned from the break, the pair appeared in a pre-recorded segment to say they couldn’t be with viewers live today.

Loose Women was also taken off the air.

The Met Police has since confirmed that a ‘suspicious package’ was reported in the studios, with a spokesperson telling Metro: “At 11:14hrs on Thursday, March 10th, police were called to reports of a security alert at Wood Lane, White City.

“It was reported a suspicious item had been discovered.

“The area was evacuated as a precaution and White City and Wood Lane tube stations were temporarily closed.

“The incident was stood down shortly before 12:49hrs. An investigation is ongoing.”

In Loose Women’s slot at 12:30pm, a pre-recorded episode of Life Before Loose was broadcast instead.

A statement from This Morning’s Twitter account read: “We apologise for the break in live programming today. We are currently running pre-recorded content and hope to be back with you soon.”

A tweet from the Loose Women account shared the same message.
