Zouk Tea Bar & Grill, one of the city’s most acclaimed Indian restaurants, has brought back its iconic Tiffin lunch boxes.
But what exactly is a Tiffin box, I hear you ask?
Tiffin carriers, or ‘dabbas’, are traditional lunch boxes hand delivered to workers from all industries across the whole over India every lunch time. These nifty little boxes have become a way of life in India, particularly in Mumbai and, now, you can get a taste of one for yourself here in Manchester.

Zouk, located off Oxford Road, has brought back their popular ‘tiffins on a platter’ complete with a tasty starter, two curries, basmati rice and a freshly baked naan bread, all for £9.99.
The set tiffin menu is ever-changing and features the likes of Chicken Tikka, Lamb Laziz, Paneer Tikka and Tarka Dall. There’s even the option to get stuck into a Grill Tiffin, featuring Zouk’s famous skewers cooked over hot coals.
On Mondays, Zouk’s tiffin includes: Chicken Imlee, Chicken Korma and Lamb Handi, Paneer Tikka, Broccoli Paneer and Dall Makhani.

Tuesdays sees the arrival of Chicken Jalfrezi and Lamb Iaziz, Paneer Tiki Bindi and Tarka Dall, while on Wednesdays, there is the option of Chicken & Spinach, Laal Maas, Bengan Massala and Palack Aloo.
Thursdays offer Dum Pukht & Chicken, the classic Tikka Massala, Palak Paneer and Tarka Dall. And finally, Fridays welcome back favourites such as Butter Chicken and Chole Massala.
Though it is worth noting that the tiffin is prepared freshly each day so the menu can sometimes change on the day.

Sounds bloody lovely, doesn’t it? The Zouk Lunch Tiffin is available between 12pm and 4pm, Monday – Friday.
