Hazel Grove gem Bun & Bones Club was crowned as the best takeaway in the whole of the North West during last night’s British Takeaway Awards.

The British Takeaway Awards, in association with Just Eat, describe themselves as ‘the Oscars of the takeaway world’ – and let me tell you, minus the presence of Brad Pitt and George Clooney, they really aren’t far from it.

Last night, they hosted their sixth annual awards evening where they shined a light on the most elite independent takeaway spots across the whole of the UK, separating their awards ceremonies into twelve regional categories.

And obviously, winning the title as best takeaway in the North West won’t have been an easy feat because, as you know, the region boasts a stunning array of unique and high quality takeaways – so much so that three from Stockport alone made it to the finals of the prestigious award.

Bun & Bones Club, LAPD Food and The Spinn were all nominated for the award, which will give the winner £1,000 in cash, £200 to spend at Just Eat, an exclusive trophy and bragging rights for the rest of eternity.

And low and behold, Bun & Bones Club was the one to be officially voted as the best takeaway in the North West.

The local burger joint has been rustling up (arguably) the best burgers in the whole of Stockport since 2014, boasting an extensive menu of wonderfully messy loaded burgers, such as the Picmac, which comes with two beef patties, cheese, smoked bacon, salad and a grilled mac and cheese ‘puck’ wedged where the Big Mac bread would normally be found, and the sloppiest ever Sloppy Joe, which comes topped with two beef patties, house chilli, grilled halloumi and lashings of baconnaise.

Northern legend Paddy McGuinness presented the much-deserving owners their award for Best Takeaway in the North West.

As you can imagine, Bun and Bones Club will be inundated with orders, so make sure to get yours in here to experience one of their burgers for yourself.
