The dining experiences include pre-prepared ingredients and full cooking instructions to make the process of cooking at home as simple, stress-free and as tasty as possible.

Each month the experience will be refreshed, in a similar format to the Six by Nico restaurants.

And if the thought of doing six courses stresses you out, don’t worry, they’ve got your back.

Reducing it to an incredible four-course tasting menu themed around memories or places put together in Glasgow and shipped in 99% recyclable boxes.

Each kit comes perfectly portioned in individual cardboard containers filled with all the elements needed to create each meal.

The first brands to launch on the platform include Home by Nico, STEM wine club, Chateau-X, The Cheese Club and vegan offering 24-Carrot. E- Eatery will also launch next month, with at-home dining experiences created in collaboration with some of the UK’s most loved eateries.

You’ll be able to make the most stunning chateaubriand’s at home with Chateau-X – all paired with three tasty sides and a bottle of wine.

And if you’re a fan of wine – who isn’t?! – you’ll be pleased to hear about the new wine club, STEM.

Curated by Six by Nico COO Rachel Rafferty, the wine club will feature five bottles of exceptional wine, delivered right to your door.

There will also be an all-new vegan experience, 24-Carrot creating vegan food designed to share.

The Cheese Club will offer the ultimate indulgence with five unique artisan cheeses paired with homemade chutneys and relishes, crispy crackers and the finest port. All curated and handpicked alongside renowned Cheesemongers I.J Melis.

Entrepreneur and Chef Nico Simeone said: “When we were forced to close the Six by Nico restaurants across the UK, we gave fans of the brand a chance to make our signature tasting menu at home and the feedback was phenomenal. We packed and distributed over 100,000 meals across sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, London & Belfast, but we felt there was so much scope to service the rest of the UK, and to give our customers even more dining options at-home.

HOME-X co-owner Michael Sim said: “We worked together to create the new HOME-X platform, and with it a number of food and drink brands that showcase some of the best ‘at home’ experiences in the UK.

We have listened to the Six by Nico community continuously and worked incredibly hard to build HOME-X for the benefit of an existing customer base that we really care about. Our new business also opens up the whole of the UK as a customer. With six new brands initially listed on HOME-X, each offering various different dine-in experiences to choose from.

Prices for the array of experiences we feature on the site varies from £50 to £70 and ranges from two to four servings.”

Unlike other restaurants of its kind, the team at Invisiburger is on a mission to create a zero waste fast food model, which will ensure that every ingredient they use is utilised from head-to-toe.

They’re also a certified member of the new ‘Sustainably Run Project’, meaning for every bill paid a fruit tree is planted. To put it in a nutshell, you can do your bit for the environment while simultaneously tucking into a banging burger. It’s a win-win!

The menu itself is split equally amongst veganWagyu beef and Krispy Chicken options, each one with different toppings and special extras.

A definite menu highlight is the Surf & Turf Burger, made from a 100% Wagyu beef patty and juicy marinated prawns with house special sauce.

NEW OPENING: A dedicated chicken wing restaurant has launched in Manchester

There’s a new chicken wing spot in town…

Manchester's Finest Group

Manchester’s favourite urban village Hatch has gained an exciting new addition in the form of chicken wing restaurant Wing Dash.

Wing Dash comes courtesy of takeaway kings Burgerism, whose popularity skyrocketed during the 2020 lockdowns.

Operating from their dark kitchen in Salford, Burgerism became well known and loved for their (you guessed it) burgers, which have even been named as ‘the best burgers in Manchester’ by Mana’s Michelin-starred Head Chef, Simon Martin.

So, of course, we can expect some seriously good things from their latest venture, which takes a primary focus on the humble chicken wing.

Their latest venture sees their iconic Burgerism formula in the form of chicken wings with six options up for grabs; each wing, made from 100% British chicken, is brined for twenty-four-hours to ensure maximum flavour and tenderness.

They’re then coated in the special Burgerism signature coating and deep-fried, before being seasoned with one of six unique flavours including Piri-Piri, Buffalo, Atomic, BBQGarlic Parm and Lemon Pepper.

And for those wanting a meat-free alternative (or, like me, for those who just really love a bit of cauliflower), Wing Dash are also serving up their delicious Cauliflower Bites, which are sourced from a family-run farm in Preston available to order in any of the six seasonings.

Of course, there are also fries to be ordered alongside your wing haul, which are prepped fresh every day and topped with a generous sprinkle of chicken salt.

Wing Dash is open now at Hatch, but can also be ordered for delivery via Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Head over to the Wing Dash Instagram page for news and updates.

Aldi’s hot chocolate Christmas mug melts return and there’s new penguin and unicorn versions

Aldi has pulled it out of the bag once again…

Some fantastic winter news for you all to sink your teeth into: Aldi has brought back its iconic hot chocolate Christmas mug melts.

In what could be the best timing ever (because it’s now bloody freezing out there), the budget supermarket is now selling the tasty mug melts with two very cute new characters.

This years mug melts feature the familiar snowman design from last year, and the new penguin and unicorn designs, with each hot chocolate melt being available in stores now for just £1.25 a pop.

All you need to do is sit the melts in your mug, add steaming hot milk and watch them dissolve into a wonderfully thick and creamy hot chocolate – perfect for the many freezing evenings we’re all set to endure over the next few months.

The mug melts also come in 100% plastic-free packaging – what’s not to love?! To get your hands on some, you can either visit your local Aldi or visit the Aldi website

Though this isn’t the only thing Aldi are doing this Christmas – earlier this month, the supermarket launched their annual Christmas advert where they revealed they’d partnered up with Man United star Marcus Rashford to donate 1.8 million meals to families over the festive period.

This years advert, which has taken inspiration from Charles Dickens’ festive classic A Christmas Carol, centres around new character, Ebanana Scrooge, who holds a passionate dislike for Christmas after being rejected by Santa for a mince pie as a baby banana.

Old favourite Kevin the Carrot also returns as the Ghost of Christmas Past and, in a first, Rashford makes a brief cameo as the footballer radish, Marcus Radishford.

Rashford said of his partnership in a statement: “As a family, we relied on the local food bank to get our Christmas dinner. To this day, I remember queuing outside that building with mum, mum feeling embarrassed that she might be recognised. It is with that in mind that I’m delighted to lend my support to the Aldi campaign.

“For many children in situations like mine growing up, there is very little expectation around this time of year; add the impact of the pandemic and the very least they deserve is a Christmas dinner.”
