A Preston takeaway has created a 14 inch burger and have challenging people to eat it within 20 minutes. Reckon you could handle it?

Kebabistan in Preston has challenged anyone to eat the burger in 20 minutes, and if they can they will win a £1,000 food voucher to spend at the New Hall Lane takeaway.

The challenge will take place post lockdown, but Yunus Sevinik, owner of Kebabistan, has said the takeaway has already had three contenders interested in taking part.

The burger is the size of a very large pizza and normally costs £35, and it’s already proving really popular with regular customers.

The takeaway has been open for two years now, making freshly made food with quality ingredients.

The bumper lamb burger contains 2kg of meat, which is topped with cheese, salad, pickled cucumber and tomato, and could feed up to 10 people – it’s only been on the menu for three weeks.

Speaking to the Lancashire Post, Yunus said: “People are ordering it. It’s very popular now. “

The menu includes European style Turkish kebabs cooked on charcoal and has even ‘banned’ chips from the menu. He said: “This is my style. Whenever people ask me why are my prices a bit up I tell them I do home made, I don’t buy cheap products.”

When speaking about the contenders for the challenge, he said “They say they can… I don’t think so!”.

Last year, in a similar style, Yunus created a two metre long wrap which the winner ate in just nine minutes, so maybe he will be handing over that £1,000 voucher pretty soon after all.
