A Manchester bar is giving a free bottle of prosecco to anyone who had a lockdown birthday

If you had a birthday in lockdown it might just have been the weirdest one yet, so why not get some free fizz to make it all better?

It certainly beats a Zoom quiz…

Sandinista is offering free Prosecco to those who had a birthday between March 21st and July 4th – the dates Sandinista were closed. 

You can either get a free bottle of prosecco or five bottles of beer for you and your pals to enjoy, when you visit the city centre bar.


All you need to do is book between September 1st and September 30th. 

The bar shared the fizzy news over on Facebook with a new event called ‘Birthday in Lockdown’.

It reads: “Lockdown 2020 took us all by surprise, and one of the things we know it affected was everyone’s Birthday.

“Birthday’s in lockdown was not what we wanted, or expected. So, as a little treat Sandinista LTD, which includes Smokestack, Blind Tyger (Manchester & Leeds) & Sandinista.

“We’ve put together a little promotion together.


“If your birthday fell between the 21st of March – 4th of July 2020 join us at any of our venues between the 1st of September – 30th of September and claim either 5 Beers or a Bottle of Prosecco on us.

“You’ll need your ID to prove when your birthdate is. But that’s it! Simple!

“We’re also taking bookings, so if you’d like to secure a table in advance drop us an email or give us a call.”

What you waiting for get down there! Oh – and Happy Birthday!!

Domino’s has launched a new Chocolate Orange Cookie with a seriously gooey middle

Dominos have brought out a brand new and oozey Chocolate Orange Cookie that looks incredible.

The chunky cookies are a brand new addition to the takeaway pizza company’s dessert menu and feature a seriously gooey ‘melt-in-the-middle’ chocolate orange centre.

They come in boxes of four and will set you back £4.99 – the perfect addition to this weekends takeaway treat!


If you want to get your hands on some you’ll have to be quick as the limited edition snack won’t be around for long!

Josh Engleman from Domino’s said: “Who doesn’t love a Domino’s cookie as a sweet treat after a delicious piping hot pizza?

“Well, we’ve been working hard on bringing another crowd pleaser to the menu and we’re delighted to introduce the new Choc Orange Cookies.”

He added: “After listening to our legions of loyal fans, the smart cookies back at Domino’s HQ kitchen spent months carefully testing and trialling dozens of different recipes to ensure we create the ultimate dessert.

“We’re sure our new melt-in-the-middle delights are the perfect way to warm any winter evening.”

Gemma Collins has released her own advent calendar complete with pink chocolate

The GC has released her very own branded calendar so you can wake up to her every morning on the countdown to Christmas.

Fans of the meme queen will be buzzing to hear about her new ‘I’m Claustrophobic Santa’ advent calendar.

It features ‘luxury’ pink chocolate behind each window. 

She shared the news on Instagram with the caption: “Dreaming of a Pink Christmas? Then get your hands on the Luxury Limited Edition Gemma Collins Pink Chocolate Advent Calendar.

If you don’t think you can handle an advent calendar with this much sass, go for something much more simple!

Pringles released their calendar this year in B&M or you could go for a Friends themed one with 40 trinkets from the show instead of chocolate.

Border Biscuits is on the hunt for a new ‘Master Biscuitier’ to join its team. That means you can get paid to taste biscuits.

What a dream job.

The salary is massive too! You can earn up to £40,000 to taste test Border Biscuits’ delicious range and help launch brand new products.

Of course – you’ll need to be proficient in IT and have good scientific and practical experience with bakery products.

If successful, you can get £40k salary, 35 holiday days plus discounts in thousands of retailers. You’ll also be pleased to hear that you can work off all those biscuits with their free online exercise programme.
