Public service announcement: As of tomorrow, you will be able to buy and devour a Vimto flavoured cheesecake.
Now, it’s no secret that us Mancs regard Vimto very highly among sweets and confectionary goods – having being born in the very centre of Manchester in 1908 at 19 Granby Row, we consider it to be one of our finest inventions.
Fast forwarding to today, Vimto is known for a whole range of things – an ice cold glass of the fizzy stuff is a renown hangover cure, while a mug of steaming hot Vimto is perfect for a cold winter’s night.

Heck, we even love the purple stuff so much that there’s the sculpture, ‘A Monument to Vimto’ carved out of an oak tree located next to its birth place on Granby Row.
So, bearing this unwavering love for Vimto in mind, this next bit of news is guaranteed to be welcomed warmly – a Vimto flavoured cheesecake.
The frozen supermarket giant Iceland has announced the launch of it’s exclusive Vimto cheesecake, a delicious dessert made using Vimto’s closely guarded recipe for a fruity twist.
Did you ever see anything so perfect in your life?
