A Manchester cafe is now giving guests the opportunity to partake in the tense honeycomb carving challenge from the hit Netflix series Squid Game.
In the third episode of the dystopian South Korean series, which has taken the entire world by storm since its release last month, contestants are tasked with cutting shapes out of dalgona candy, a South Korean biscuit made from honeycomb.
If they fail to cut out their shape – either a star, a circle, a triangle or an umbrella – within the nail-biting time limit, they get ‘eliminated’ – or shot dead by the prowling, red suit-clad guards, for those who still haven’t got round to watching the series.

The challenge proved to be an unbelievably tense watch, with many viewers saying it was one of the most stomach-churning games played by contestants in the whole series (which, trust me, is a very bold claim given some of the terrifying challenges imposed upon the debt-riddled participants).
But if you’re one of those who thinks you’d stand a chance at the dalgona candy game, you’re in luck – the Manchester bubble tea cafe A Nice Sip, located in the Corn Exchange, is now hosting the game for anyone who purchases two drinks throughout the whole of October.
The selected drinks have to be either fruit tea, hot chocolate, coffee, or the more traditional Oolong tea and, fear not, there won’t be any masked guards watching from the kitchen.

A Nice Sip also has a number of Taiwanese sweet treats on the menu to help calm those nerves, including bubble waffles, flavoured milkshakes and dalgona coffee.
Though it is worth noting that the cafe does have a limited quantity of the dalgona candy each day, so the biscuits will be given out on a first-come-first-served basis.
