Just last week we reported that The Lion King musical is returning to our city next year – and today we’ve got even more exciting big stage news for you. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is coming to town next Christmas, and tickets are out now. It’ll be hitting The Lowry next December for a seven-week run, as part of a massive UK and Ireland tour.
Sally Cookson has adapted the much-loved C.S. Lewis book for stage, with her production breaking box office records at Leeds Playhouse when it premiered back in 2017.
The Lowry website says: “Step through the wardrobe this winter into the magical kingdom of Narnia for the most mystical of adventures in a faraway land. Join Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter as they wave goodbye to wartime Britain and say hello to a talking Faun, an unforgettable Lion and the coldest, cruellest White Witch.”
It’s set to be the theatre’s big festive production next Christmas, and you’ll be able to catch it from December 9th 2020 until January 23rd 2021. To get your hands on tickets, head over the The Lowry website here.
