The on-stage adaptation of romantic thriller The Bodyguard will be coming to Manchester next year, and tickets start from just £13.

The Bodyguard The Musical, produced by Micheal Harrison and David Ian, is based on the famous 1992 film, and re-tells the tale secret service agent turned bodyguard Frank Farmer.

When he is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from a dangerous stalker, an unexpected but intense romance develops between the pair.

Today, the film is known as one of the all-time greats, mainly thanks to Whitney Houston’s and Kevin Costner’s leading performances.

And now, the story is been brought back to life at Manchester’s very own Palace Theatre, where The Bodyguard The Musical will take to the stage for a nationwide tour in 2023.

Fans of the show can expect classic songs such as ‘Queen of the Night’, ‘So Emotional’, ‘One Moment in Time’ and ‘I Will Always Love You’.

The musical adaptation was first brought to life by Thea Sharrock and Alex Dinelaris in 2012, when it premiered at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End.

That year, it was nominated for four Olivier Awards.

To date, The Bodyguard The Musical has been performed to over 3.6 million people in fifteen different countries and forty-five US cities.

The Bodyguard The Musical will kickstart its 2023 tour in Glasgow at the start of the year, and will arrive in Manchester to host a two week residency at the Palace Theatre from April 3rd – April 15th.
