Manchester Coffee Festival

It’s the news every Manc coffee lover has been waiting for: After a year out, the annual Manchester Coffee Festival is officially making its comeback.

The independent festival, run and organised by local company Cup North, will be setting up shop at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Stretford where over fifty different coffee makers will be in attendance, ready to serve guests steaming hot cups of their finest blends.

Festival-goers will be able to wander through countless stalls while sipping delicious variants of coffee, learning the secrets behind their favourite blends, receiving top tips from coffee making experts and learning everything there is to know about the classic drink. Oh, and there will be free tea and chocolate samples on hand, too.

And drinking all the coffee you can handle isn’t the only activity on the cards: the festival will also be hosting the UK Cup Tasters Championships, a fun, fast-paced coffee contest that will see the UK’s most acclaimed coffee tasters compete against each other.

Over in the Festival Talks Zones, industry leaders will also be sitting down to discuss a whole array of coffee-related topics ranging from social issues to the more technical matter of coffee science.

And it isn’t a festival without music, is it? Manchester’s favourite independent record store Wilderness Records will be on hand to produce an eclectic rota of live musicians, DJs and record selectors to soundtrack the MCF weekend.

The festival’s co-founder Hannah Davies said on the grand return: “We’re so excited to bring back Manchester Coffee Festival in 2021.

“Bowlers Exhibition Centre offers us a lot of flexibility and will enable us to improve our event program with increased venue space, the opportunity to conduct indoor roasting and the return of the festival music program.”

The Manchester Coffee Festival is set to take place from November 6th-7th at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre. Tickets aren’t on sale just yet but to make sure you don’t miss out, you can join the waiting list here, which will give you exclusive access to tickets before they go on sale to the public.
