The Winter Island will boast tons of festive activities and treats
The UK’s largest outdoor winter market is coming to Manchester’s Escape to Freight Island next month, and it looks like the Christmassy oasis we’ve all been dreaming of.
Winter Island – billed as the UK’s largest fully-heated outdoor winter market – is set to make all our festive dreams come true with its Christmas Tree Forest and a host of new festive traders and stalls, including Great North Pie Co., a bratwurst grill, traditional hog roast, a mulled wine and hot cider hut, local chocolatiers and artisanal cheese stalls.
And that doesn’t even scratch the surface – the team over at Freight Island also have a huge programme of festive events booked over the next couple of months.

Kicking off with a huge fireworks display on November 5th, the Winter Island will be offering a mix of ticketed and non-ticketed events, such as a bonfire night gathering, Christmas workshops, karaoke, family raves, cabaret, live music, comedy and festive movie nights.
The iconic Untold Orchestra will also be holding a residency every Wednesday throughout November and December, where they will be paying homage to beloved musicians and bands each week – as well as those famed festive numbers too.
Tuesday nights, on the other hand, will see the introduction of a brand new comedy night showcasing upcoming and local talent.
Further entertainment to look forward to throughout the festive season at Winter Island includes performances from the likes of Fun DMC, Teachrex, Playhouse Project, Famzily Gorgeous, Guilty Pleasures and Born to be Wild Child.

The Winter Island will run from November 5th to December 31st, and bookings are open NOW. The opening times are as follows: Mondays to Thursdays 3pm – 12am, Fridays 12pm – 1am, Saturdays 10am – 1am and Sundays 10am – 12am.
Walk-ups will be available, but booking in advance is strongly recommended to secure your preferred dates and times.
