The Dreamworks animation motion picture Madagascar will be brought to life on the stage at the Opera House in Manchester early next year.

Tickets are now available for people wishing to see Madagascar – The Musical, which will run from February 2024.

Based on the children’s animated motion picture Madagascar this larger than life musical will follow all your favourite animal characters as they escape their home at New York’s Central Park Zoo.

The crack-a-lackin’ friends include Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo, who find themselves on an unexpected adventure as they journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar— after Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and decides to escape the confines of the zoo.

Billed as ‘a wacky adventure for the whole family’, the story is being brought to life by Selladoor family, the producers behind James And The Giant Peach, Seussical and The Owl And The Pussycat along with Hartshorn – Hook, producers of the Oliver Award winners Rotterdam Murder Ballad, Urinetown and American Idiot.

Hilarious penguins, Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and private will have guests in stitches, providing entertainment for all the family.
