Freight Island announces Father’s Day special event this Sunday

Freight Island has announced a Father’s Day ‘Better Days’ special event to take place on Sunday, June 18th.

Outdoor urban market and entertainment venue Freight Island, located at Depot Mayfield, will host an action-packed Father’s Day programme as part of its Better Days series.

The cool and trendy container district will welcome world-class DJs to keep the tunes pumping for the family at this free to attend event.

Treat the dads in your life to a fantastic day out in the sun at this festival-inspired series hosted by Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), for a DJ set alongside the legendary Fat Tony, Raw Silk, Scarlett O’Malley, and Freight Island’s residents.

Also at the event will be a variety of food from independent traders from around the region and alfresco BBQ, complete with refreshing beverages including locally crafted ales, funky festival vibes and family entertainment all day long.
