A shopping centre in Wigan (of all places) is set to be transformed into a terrifyingly immersive ‘zombie apocalypse’ experience, just in time for Halloween.

The Galleries Shopping Centre will become The Terror Mall across the Halloween weekend and will challenge participants to battle and survive a lair of blood-thirsty zombies – all played by actors, just incase

Those who are brave enough to take part will be given a story-line to follow before being tasked with the mission of ‘saving humanity’ from the zombie plague that has taken over the city.

The event’s official description reads: “The world has fallen. We thought we had survived the disease cured in our “Infirmary” only for the dead to return as a plague.

“Zombies run wild and are unable to be contained even by our military. We need your help in order to save the last remnants of humanity before all is lost… Rumours have emerged of a sweet that can provide superhuman strength.

“We have acquired a batch of them to battle the zombie infestation and you are our only chance of survival as a species. You will be given the ‘treatment’ then sent into the zombie lair to try and recover an antidote that was designed by our doctor before he turned. Hopefully you can save humanity.

“You are entering an area of TERROR that only the bravest can survive. There will be no way for you to avoid the zombies. Are you brave enough to face them head on?”

Organised by Adrenaline Escape, the immersive experience debuted in 2019, where it sold out within days. Speaking of the return of the successful event, the co-owner of Adrenaline Escape Daniel Brooks said: “We’re really excited that we’ve been given the green light for Terror Mall in 2021.

“This was such a popular event last time we ran it and tickets sold out in days.

“It’s a great live experience and perfect for Halloween, full of drama and suspense, anyone who takes part certainly won’t be disappointed!”

The event will run from October 27th to October 31st, and tickets are priced at £20 each – get yours here.
