A terrifying ‘Horrors of Hillhouse’ escape room is coming to Manchester this Halloween

Love a good spooky escape room that feels a little too real? Well, this immersive experience might just be up your street.

Cryptic Escape Rooms, located in Manchester’s city centre, will be hosting the spookiest of all spooky immersive escape room experiences this Halloween in the theme of the infamous Hillhouse. 

A description of their Hillhouse experience reads: “Hillhouse is a place of evil, a structure that has stood for over 200 years. Legends and whispers tell of a sinister secret at the heart of the house… You and your team have been sent to investigate the phenomenon under the guise of a buyer.

“Upon your arrival, you feel an icy chill down your spine… Almost like you’re being watched. The Door slams shut and a blood curdling scream echoes down the hall. The estate agent has vanished.

“Can you survive the horrors of Hillhouse and find a way out? Or will you fall victim to the evil that dwells within?”

Those who are brave enough to take part in the unique escape room will have ninty minutes full of puzzles, frights and scary surprises to solve the mystery of the missing person and uncover the terrifying secrets of Hillhouse.

Lloyd, the owner and game designer at Cryptic Escape Rooms Manchester said on the exciting Halloween experience: “We can’t wait to show people what horrors we’ve been cooking up for this ambitious new experience at Cryptic Escape Rooms Manchester and I’m looking forward to seeing the reactions of our guests.”

The Horrors of Hillhouse event will be taking place on the 15th-17th, the 22nd – 24th, and the 29th-31st October. 

And booking a time slot for Horrors of Hillhouse will also give Halloween-lovers the opportunity to buy a Fear Pass for an additional £15, which will give teams access to play the Stranger Things themed escape room ‘Secrets of the Upside Down’ and ‘Temple of the Forbidden Eye’ at a later date.
