Ten Locks and El Tequileño tequila are bringing a mile-long margarita tour to Manchester’s Northern Quarter and Ancoats to celebrate National Margarita Day.

Do you love to slam a cheeky shot of Mexican liquid gold, like to slurp on a frozen marg, or just prefer a classic margarita with plenty of salt to add to the piquant bite? Well, this could be the right kind of bar hopping event for you!

To celebrate El Tequileño tequila, from February 20th to 26th the Manchester premium drinks distributor Ten Locks has created a mile-long margarita bar crawl, teaming up with some of the finest venues across the city centre.

They have also teamed up with Maldon Salt to sponsor the event —because only a super premium salt is the perfect accompaniment for tequila. The drinking distance will begin at Ducie Street Warehouse and end right down at New Century Kitchen.

Starting on February 20th, 15 bars have created a special margarita using El Tequileño Blanco or Reposado Tequila and El Teuileno, 1959 Range. The curated tequila drinks will be available to purchase all week, and discounted drinks will be available throughout the week (prices may vary depending on discretion of venue).

Venues taking part in the tequila trail are: Ducie Street Warehouse, Tariff & Dale, Feel Good Club, Ply, Junior Jacksons, The Daisy, Fierce, Smithfield Social, Almost Famous, Bay Horse Tavern, Liquor & Burn, Wolf At The Door, TROF, New Century and Ramona.

The Smithfield Social will feature a different Margarita each day, Fierce will utilise two of their core beers in their serves, and Almost Famous have created a pineapple Margarita topped with a blue curaçao foam.

And in even better news, on February 22nd – National Margarita Day – ALL venues will be offering Margs for £5 if you show them this post!
