Heaton Park is set to house an open-air cinema and street food festival just after summer.
The Film & Food Fest is the UK’s largest touring outdoor cinema by company Adventure Cinema. The festival will be popping up in outdoor locations across the UK.
The line-up will include classic and new films, stand up comedy and street food tailored to each specific location to support local creatives and local food operators.
The event kicks off on September 23rd and will stay in Heaton Park for four days.
Adult tickets cost £16.50 (plus booking fee) and £2 from each ticket sold for the Thursday night goes towards supporting local film organisations in each of the 15 cities on the tour.
Saturday and Sunday afternoons are reserved for family-friendly experiences, showing the hits like The Greatest Showman Sing-Along and The Lion King.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening will feature live stand-up comedy from local comics plus screenings of blockbuster films like Grease, Joker, The Invisible Man and Dirty Dancing.
Guests can arrive three hours before the film starts to explore the street food market curated by Street Food Warehouse. There will also be a bar on-site serving up beers and bespoke cocktails!
Each event will operate within the government’s safety guidelines, and based on the current roadmap outdoor performances can resume no earlier than May 17th.
Children 12 years and under get half-price tickets for afternoon showings and all tickets come with a 100% money-back guarantee if the event has to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions.
