An annual Polish food festival, featuring traditional Pierogi dumplings and a variety of vodkas, is returning to Manchester next week.
Polish restaurant Plazki will bring the famous Pierogi Festival to Deansgate on Wednesday September 27th and Thursday 28th from 5pm until sold out, and foodies can tuck into some of its hearty traditional dishes.
Visitors can try Platzki’s many mouthwatering dumplings which come with a variety of delicious fillings.
Food lovers choose from savoury options such as the ‘Kaczka’ – full of perfectly slow cooked duck accompanied by fresh plum, or the ‘Karkowka’ stuffed with delicately roasted pork and roasted vegetables.
For non-meat eaters there’ll be plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too. Sample the ‘Fasolka’, which is packed with crushed butter beans, roasted tomatoes and roasted peppers.
Or try a unique non-savoury twist on the Polish staple with the ‘Slodkie’, which is a temptingly sweet Pierogi loaded with cottage cheese, vanilla sugar and juicy blueberries.
In traditional Polish style, as well as a variety of melt in your mouth dishes, there will also be a selection of flavoured vodkas to wash all the scrumptious food down with.
Visitors can sample an exciting range including salted caramel, strawberry, golden black cherry, hazelnut and a delicious cherry-chocolate flavour.
Platzki has been a fixture in the city since 2018, started by two food fanatics Lukasz and Przemo.
It has since built up a reputation for serving a list of Polish traditional cuisine with a modern twist, as well as an interesting selection of vodka, wine and beer.
Pierogi festival visitors can choose to either eat in or take out. There’s no need to book a table, diners can simply show up with their Pierogi loving pals and enjoy traditional Polish dishes from the comfort of Platzki, or grab a takeaway with Pierogi to go and enjoy from home.

Urban Playground has taken things to the next level, revealing three brand new games for thrill-seekers to sink their teeth into.

They’ve now added three new games to The Cube Live experience, ahead of the upcoming Christmas party season. ‘Pass’, ‘Exit’ and ‘Locate’ are the three new nail-bitingly tense games, and you’ll recognise them all from TV.
In Pass, two players rapidly weave a foam brick back and forth between free-standing poles, avoiding knocking the poles over as they go – requiring agility and great communication. Exit sees two players work together manoeuvring a ball out of a maze testing their patience to the max.

Lastly, Locate is a single player game where players must memorise an illuminated white square’s location, before placing a block on it while blindfolded. They’re all deceptively straightforward, while also fiendishly addictive, and perfect for a team day out. Get booked in HERE to try the new games for yourself.
