A daytime nightclub designed for the over 30s and created by Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure has announced it is coming to Manchester.
You know your party days are numbered when it suddenly becomes too much of a chore to get your best party gear on of a Saturday night and head for the clubs.
It’s cold, it’s wet and you don’t fancy queueing outside just to stand on your feet all night and spend the next day nursing a hangover.
The FOMO you once had has completely gone.
You’re looking at the clock wondering when you can discreetly slip out, order a cheesy garlic bread and get a taxi straight home to your warm and cosy bed.
If this is you, you’re probably 30 or over. If only there was some kind of alternative that meant you could be home and in your PJs ready to get your much needed eight hours by 10pm – well the great news is there is!
Day Fever is bringing its daytime disco to Manchester so you can still enjoy a restful Sunday and make it into work Monday feeling nice and fresh.
Day Fever – for when you are all out of night fever – is offering anyone aged 30 and over the chance to enjoy a nightclub experience but during the daylight hours, and it’s coming to Manchester!
For those Mancunians who are no longer spring chickens, you’ll be able to go clubbing between the hours of 2pm and 8pm at New Century on Saturday, March 2nd.
The event has been created by Jon McClure of Reverend and the Makers, Vicky McClure of Line of Duty and her partner, film producer Jonny Owen.
Day Fever events have already sold out in Sheffield, Glasgow and London and are sure to sell out in Manchester too so make sure to get your ticket soon and don’t miss out.
About the new event, Vick McClure says: “Manchester had to be on our list for Day Fever, it just had to be! It’s a city we all know and love and we can’t wait to bring our disco to such an amazing venue.
“So get your glad rags on and come and join us for a proper party. We can’t wait to see you next year!”
The event is for those aged 30 and over so don’t forget your ID – yes, you might actually get ID’d again for once!
Attendees are kindly asked to refrain from petting on the dance floor (unless it’s the smooch/slow section), pushing, running and bombing.
Acrobatics or gymnastics are also not allowed, while ‘vigorous dancing is encouraged instead’ – not sure we’ll have the energy, knees and backs to do all of those on the list anyway.
Tickets are priced from £13.98 and can be purchased by clicking HERE.
Fancy a disco that’s not in your PJs on the sofa? Then get dressed and make your way to Day Fever at New Century, 34 Hanover Street, on Saturday, March 2nd, 2-8pm.
