A brand new floating obstacle course in Delamere Forest’s water park has opened up, and it looks loads of fun.

The huge inflatable Aqua Park is only around 40 minutes from Manchester and is the ultimate family day out activity.

The brand new installation is deemed the world’s first of its kind; featuring no harnesses, simply a lake beneath which catches you if you fall off.

Aqua Chimp includes rope swings, climbing walls and even zip wires all based on Delamere Forest’s sailing lake.

You’ll be given a safety briefing before you tackle the challenge and given a different coloured route based on your ability. This means anyone of any ability can have a go!

Wild Shore’s Tim Woodhead said: “It is the world’s first Aqua Chimp, it is based on a fixed course that is very similar at one of our parks in Edinburgh.

“Aqua Chimp is extremely unique.

“It is mega easy to socially distance on too – which is great during these strange Covid times.”

There are new Covid-19 safety measures in place that must be adhered by all visitors. These include a pre-booking only system, one-way and plenty of on-site hand sanitsers.

There are outdoor changing cubicles, no on-site picnics and kits being washing in a special solution, soaked for 15 minutes before drying.

A session costs £20 per person for 50 minutes of adventure fun. This includes the hire price of any required kit. You just need to take a swimming cozzie, towel and closed-toe shoes you don’t mind getting absolutely soaking – if you fall in that is.

There are plenty of other activities available on the lake if this doesn’t sound like you, including paddleboarding, wakeboarding and an inflatable aqua park.
