Trafford Centre has issued a warning to shoppers who are braced to visit this December.
Non-essential retail stores can reopen from Wednesday in England, however the Trafford Centre is asking people to plan their visit ahead.
The Trafford Centre will be sharing the quieter shopping times via their social media channels. Quieter times are generally earlier in the day and later in the evening.
The centre itself is open 10am to 10pm on weekdays, however some larger stores including Selfridges, Debenhams, John Lewis, Boots, Primark and M&S are set to open at 9am.
Primark is also set to open even earlier on Wednesday December 2nd, and will stay open for 24 hours.
The store will open its doors to shoppers from 7am on the 2nd until closing time on December 3rd, to give everyone plenty of time to do their Christmas shopping.
Restaurants will be open only for takeaway as Greater Manchester remains in Tier 3. Visitors should also be mindful of the government rules for travelling in and out of areas of different tiers as well as the rules on household mixing.
You must wear a face mask at the Trafford Centre and follow the marked, one-way system routes.
You can expect enhanced hygiene regimes including regular deep cleaning of key areas and touch points.
Hand sanitation areas will also be in place at the entrances and throughout the centre .
Zoe Inman, Centre Director at The Trafford Centre, said: “It’s been an unusual year, but Christmas is still the highlight in our calendar, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back on Wednesday 2nd December.
“Since the start of this pandemic, we’ve had robust and adaptable plans to ensure the safety of everyone who visits and works at The Trafford Centre, and these strong safety measures will continue as non-essential retail opens again.
“We would recommend visitors spend a few minutes planning their visit to ensure they have the best experience possible.
“We know the Christmas season is going to be different this year, but we’d like to thank everyone in advance for doing their part.”
