Vernon Kay to present ITV’s This Morning

Vernon Kay will be presenting ITV’s This Morning while regular hosts Phillip and Holly are away, it has been announced today.

The Bolton-born star will join the show from August 31st for three days where he will be presenting alongside Rochelle Humes.

On his new gig, Vernon said: “This Morning is the daytime go to show, so to be asked to guest host on a show I’ve watched since its inception is a huge tick for me.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Rochelle and sitting on that famous sofa.”

Rochelle will spend the August Bank Holiday with This Morning favourite Alison Hammond for a ‘girl power’ Monday. She said of the news: “I’m so looking forward to hosting with the wonderful Alison Hammond again.

“I also can’t wait to welcome Vernon Kay into the This Morning family.”

ITV

Dermot O’Leary, who is usually seen on-screen every Friday, will also pop up throughout the week.

The Mirror reported that Vernon’s presenting stint is part of a drive to try out new faces on the hit morning show, which has been on air for thirty-three years.

This Morning airs weekday mornings from 10am – 12:30pm.
