If you have an unruly mutt at home, Channel 4’s new series could be the answer to your woes.

Producers from The Dog House, a reality series which pairs families with rescue dogs, are now on the lookout for ‘problematic pooches’ to take part in a brand new show, The Dog Academy.

The show will bring together some of the best dog trainers from across the country, who will offer advice and guidance to the owners of badly-behaved pets using methods taking a focus on ‘positive reinforcement’.

Posting across a number of local community groups on Facebook, the producers poised the questions: “Do you have a problematic pooch? Are you struggling with your dog’s behaviour?

“The producers of Channel 4’s The Dog House are making a brand new prime time Channel 4 series and are looking for misbehaving dogs and their owners.

“From small quirks to life impacting behaviour, we’ve assembled a team of the very best trainers in Britain to help you transform your dog once and for all.”

So, do you think your dog is naughty enough to take part?

If so, you’ll need to drop an email over to dogacademy@fivemilefilms.co.uk, detailing who you are, what kind of dog you have and the problems you’re experiencing.

If successful, one of the producers will be in touch to begin the next stages of the application.

Happy training!
