Kiosk Kev and Dingo Dollars are set for a comeback with the announcement that I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here will return to Australia for its next series.

The popular reality series, hosted by Geordie duo Ant and Dec, has been set in Gwrych Castle in Wales for the last two years as a result of Australia’s strict Covid-19 travel restrictions.

But now that the country has reopened its borders to travellers, this year’s I’m A Celeb will be once again filmed in the iconic Australian jungle, ITV has confirmed today.

ITV’s director of content Rosemary Newell confirmed the news to The Mirror, saying in a statement: “We expect I’m A Celebrity to return in Australia in November, when it will generate audience over 11 million.”

Ant and Dec have previously expressed their own hopes for the series to return to its original Australian location, with Dec telling The One Show: “We love Wales but you know, Australia is its home and we’d like to get back there if we can.”

The 2019 series was the first one to be filmed in Wales at Gwrych Castle after Australia banned travel to the country to try and curb the spread of Covid.

And last year, the show was forced to return to Gwrych Castle for the second time while Australia’s borders remained firmly closed to the rest of the world.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here first aired in 2002, where it was filmed within Tully, Queensland. It then moved to Murwillumbah, New South Wales, where it remained until the Covid pandemic.

Last year, the show’s bosses were forced to axe multiple episodes after severe weather conditions in Wales led to the site being evacuated.

Contestant Richard Madeley also had to leave the camp to see a medic, and was not allowed to return to the show due to Covid restrictions in place at the time.
