It’s here: To welcome in the New Year, the BBC has released the highly anticipated trailer for the sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders.
The show’s creator Steven Knight previously promised fans that Peaky Blinders will return with ‘a bang’, saying, as per The Radio Times: “We believe this will be the best season of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it. While the TV season will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form, [a movie].”
And now, just over a month on from the release of a teaser trailer, which showed Manchester’s Castlefield standing in as a dark and gloomy 1940s Birmingham, the official first look at the upcoming season has been unveiled, and it looks like it’s going to be nothing short of amazing.
Going by the trailer, the new series will follow Tommy Shelby’s last stand, with the character – played by Cillian Murphy – saying in the clip: “We’ve a very powerful enemy… This will be the end of it.”
Shelby then adds: “One last deed to be done… Then we Peaky Blinders rest.”
The rest of the trailer reveals very little about the story, only showing various characters and moments from the upcoming chapter.
But perhaps the most prominent part of the clip is the appearance of Stephen Graham, who will be making his Peaky Blinders debut for the final season.
It was first announced that the This is England actor was joining the cast back in April 2021, with the official Peaky Blinders social media pages sharing a first look image of him in a pinstripe period costume alongside the caption: “We’re thrilled that Stephen Graham has joined the cast of #PeakyBlinders series 6.”

As is the case with the whole storyline, details surrounding Graham’s character have been kept tightly under wraps, with the trailer only showing him briefly while in the middle of a brawl… So we can expect some seriously exhilarating stuff.
An exact release date for the sixth and final season is yet to be announced, though Knight has previously said he hopes for a Spring-time release, which will be sometime between March and May this year.
