The coronavirus pandemic has caused our lives to be out on pause while we deal with it, and lots of major events and celebrations that were planned for 2020 have been postponed or cancelled.

One sector that’s been hit hard is weddings, with lots of couple’s big days thrown into turmoil by the virus.

If your wedding has been cancelled or postponed then Channel 4 is looking for you, for a special new show it’s working on.

The broadcaster is after a couple who have had their dream day put on hold, so it can throw them a ‘virtual ceremony’ that they’ll ‘never forget’.

In a post on the Film and TV Casting Calls UK Facebook group, Channel 4 and Multi Story Media put out a call for a ‘fun loving couple’.

The advert reads: “Have you had to postpone or cancel your wedding due to Covid-19? Are you unsure whether to cancel or not? Was the initial date you chose important to you?

“Channel 4, with the help of a celebrity cupid and some special guests, are looking to bring a much needed wedding back to life and offer one special couple the opportunity to have a virtual ceremony they’ll never forget in their own home, with family and friends watching and celebrating online.

However, it added: “Please note that this filmed/organised celebration will not result in legally binding marriage. Due to the legalities of specific marital licensing in the home, a non-religious celebrant will enact the vows on your document.”
