You can film one of Santa’s reindeer in your house to show the kids on Christmas morning

If you’ve got kids, or even if you just want to inject a little bit more festive fun into your Christmas after the shocker of the year we’ve had, you’re going to love this one.

You can welcome one of Santa’s reindeer into your house this Christmas, simply using an app.

That’s right, McDonald’s is relaunching its Reindeer Ready Live app, following its hugely successful run over the past few years.

Simply download the app, and it allows the user to capture footage of one of the famous festive reindeers in their very own home.

Using the magic of technology, you can catch Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder or Blitzen in the act on Christmas Eve, as the big guy drops off presents at your gaff.

To get involved, simply head to the Reindeer Ready website on tablet or phone – desktop won’t work, unfortunately.

Next simply click ‘Get Started’ and ‘I’m Ready’, before either choosing a good quality photo of the area you want Rudolph to appear in or taking a new one.

You can choose how the reindeer is positioned, and then 30 seconds after you’ve submitted your image you have your very own, realistic reindeer visitor, eating carrots in your house.

So what are you waiting for? Show your kids on Christmas morning to prove that Santa was there the night before.
