A woman took to social media after she was left with ‘monster brows’, due to a microblading treatment gone very wrong. Shannon Bozell was left distraught by the final results, and after spending £267 to get the procedure she was forced to change her hair to cover the ‘big caterpillar eyebrows’. Microblading, a semi-permanent procedure, involves tiny needles scratching the skin, leaving pigment in its place.

Shannon told CBS Austin her dream of perfect brows vanished when she was left with much darker and bigger brows than she wanted.
She tried to hide her eyebrows by dying her hair dark and cutting in a fringe, but it didn’t work. Furthermore, after complaining and getting a second appointment to fix them by lightening, Shannon says she noticed two large blisters on the arches of her brows 24 hours later.

According to the salon, because she underwent two treatments in such a short period of time she’d need a lengthier recovery. Shannon was denied a refund by the salon owner, who instead wanted her to come back in so they could fix the situation.
The salon responded in a now deleted Facebook post, with the owner telling CBS: “It means everything to me. This is my everything. I don’t take it as a joke. I take what I do very seriously. I tried many times to get her to come into my studio so I could make this right with her, and unfortunately that never happened.”
