A tourist exploring London has vowed to ‘never return’ after a Queen’s Guard screamed at his relative for touching his horse.
The cavalry soldiers, who guard royal residencies across the country, have become a popular attraction amongst tourists, who flock in their masses to catch a glimpse of the regal tradition.
However, some tourists get a little too close for comfort to the soldiers and their horses, resulting in some rather uncomfortable interactions.
And one visitor recently learned this the hard way, with him vowing to ‘never visit London again’ following an altercation with one of the Guards outside of Buckingham Palace.

In a video posted onto TikTok, the user’s step mum could be seen approaching one of the Guard’s horses and stroking its neck.
However, as the horse repeatedly turns its head away from her, the woman holds onto its reins in an apparent attempt to pull its head towards her, prompting the Guard sitting aloft the animal to shout: “Stand back from the Queen’s lifeguard, don’t touch the reins!”
The woman, clearly startled by the command, clutched her chest and leaped backwards and out of sight of the camera.
The short clip was shared to social media alongside the caption: “We Will Never Return To London After This Incident.”
The TikToker then added: “He was a rather angry little man.”
The video, which has since had over 4.9 million views, has been inundated with comments from amused viewers, none of whom appeared to have much sympathy for the startled tourist.
One person wrote: “They have a job, just don’t go near them”, while another commented: “No one should ever touch a horses reins – don’t people understand that. Top soldier!”.
A third pointed out: “They are not tourist attractions they are soldiers. Don’t touch them or go so near to them.”
And a fourth commented: “Would she grab the steering wheel if someone was driving?? Similar thing!!”.
